Got this to replace a heavy and rusted two piece set up. This is lighter, looks better, and functions better than the nuts/washers and separate clamp that was OE. This is a very worthy upgrade for an old Trek hybrid. As an aside, the old set up would not run a newer saddle because the rails were set a quarter of an inch wider. This one accepted a new saddle no problem.. Again, a worthy upgrade and update.
