Coming from the world of motocross and new to mountain biking, I knew I was going to need adequate foot protection. These work great! The sole is flat yet grippy, keeping hold of my flat pedals when I need it most. Still grippy enough to push the bike up wet rocks and muddy areas. Impact tested more than once, these kept my feet from getting bruised and possibly broken during some gnarly crashes. I like the added protection on the inside of the ankles. Very comfortable and washable, coming in handy after some of my muddier rides.

The toe box is narrow and my feet are average width. I ordered a 8.5 like I wore in previous biking shoes. Good traction. But my feet start going numb around mile 5 which is misery on a 20-30-50mile ride. Maybe size up?I won’t order this brand again. Cute shoe just narrow toe box.

I love these shoes for mountain biking! After about 200 miles I’m noticing the bottoms are starting to get cut up a bit from my pedals but at the same time I feel they’ve broken in and got grippier. They are kind of heavy but so much better and comfier than riding in regular sneakers. The hard sole and toe also helps protect my feet from cactus spikes!4 month update: After 4 months of riding about 130 miles per month these shoes were trash. They are good for beginners or the occasional rider but I was having issues keeping my feet on the pedals anymore because the soles were getting torn up. I have upgraded to adidas 5-10 free rider pros. I have attached a picture of these shoes with the worn out bottoms next to my new kicks.

I took a chance and bought this based on the rating of 12 people.I found these shoes very heavy and a little loose on my foot. This could have been fixed by thicker socks but the biggest problem is that doesn't grip enough. It was slightly damp the other day and my feet slipped off the pedals several times.The shoes look pretty good, is made okay and easy enough to walk in. Just not grippy enough.

Despite a near-death experience on my mountain bike yesterday I had a great ride! The shoes are adorable, comfy, protective, grippy, sturdy, shock- absorbing, and all around awesome! I was pleasantly surprised to find the bonus loop to tuck my laces inside. You can tell real MTB riders invented these! They also arrived much sooner than predicted, which worked out perfectly for me! I am thrilled with these! Highly recommend!!!
