I'd been looking for a shoe that I could also walk in and after reading reviews could not find this anywhere in my size. Durabliity seems good, nice weight (not too heavy) for the shoe type and comfortable. Walks great too!

I had my old Specialized MTB shoes for a lot of time. They were great but finally blew apart. These PI X-Alps are better than I expected and give me noticeably more power. Sole, cleat installation and design are well designed, and these are very comfortable and grippy to go on foot when you have to get off your bike.

Hike a bike you have met your match! Also, flat so you don't look like a goofball if you pull into the supermarket while riding. They look like real shoes. Surprisingly they are stiff in the sole and power transfer seems good. The tongue is padded and super comfy. They are heavy, but get over it.

Just back from a 6-day cycling trip in Ireland, where I put these shoes to the test. I couldn't be happier. Perfect blend of a functional cycling shoe and footwear that is comfortable and discreet enough to transition to a hike through the town or forest trail. Roomier toe-box than expected, which was very comfortable. Clips were perfectly recessed - I encountered no noise on any normal flooring surface. We had unexpectedly hot weather and breath-ability was great. Super comfortable and more than adequate stiffness.

These things are great. I bought them to serve two purposes: perform well as my go-to mountain biking shoe and serve as a commuter shoe for the gym, without looking super dorky. These shoes do both really well. Very comfortable, super solid, just all-around a good buy.

Great fit, comfortable after a few rides to break it in. Keeps dust and modest water out. I prefer Sidi shoes for the best fit but this is great at a lower price point.

I was excited to get these for my summer flat pedal MTB riding and also using on my clipless pedals on my road bike commuter. I QUICKLY realized on my first ride that with the SPD pedals on the shoes, riding on my flat pedal MTB, they SLIP like crazy and really don’t grab the pegs on my pedals at all. I was disappointed that in order to use these for flat pedal mtb I definitely needed to take the SPD clips off.

I bought these shoes because of a review bemoaning their lack of ventilation. Perfect. I’m not in a New Mexico summer. It’s 40 degrees and drizzling in Minneapolis and these shoes are fantastic. My toes are dry. My feet are warm. The vibram foot bed is grippy on wet pavement and the toes flex comfortably while walking all day. They might be the perfect commuter shoe if you don’t have any meetings where their sneaker styling will look out of place.
