The tape certainly worked but it was difficult to remove. It left a slight residue that had to be scrubbed off.

I am using this to tape down 2x2ft carpet tiles to OSB floor. So far I haven't had any peel up under daily use.

It does gum up the scissors but I started using a razor knife and it worked well.I used it to lay down luxury vinyl plank flooring.

90 yards of carpet tape will last me until Armageddon. It's a lot, and frankly, I think this particular tape is best served for a permanent carpet adhesion, like an area rug to cover an entire floor. This is a double-sided tape with the sticky on the inside and a veneer of paper on the outside. This means the tape side is placed on the floor - IN PLACE, and the veneer paper is peeled off as it has (I assume) a lesser adhesive on it and the carpet is put in its place.I have an entry way carpet THAT SOMEONE PUT IN THE DRYER and completely lost its backing, so even though we had a pad under it, it slides around which is not great for your entryway. I used this tape to put it in place which was fairly easy. Although it says to use a knife to cut it, I used metal scissors and it was fine. However when I moved it for slight repositioning, it took a small sample of the carpet backing with it, so I decided this might be better served for an area rug that wouldn't be moved to clean the floors. It did the trick and it offers instructions for removal of residue if the tape is removed, but I'll have to take that on faith. It instantly adheres and the carpet in my front entry is firmly in place.

finally a perfect carpet tape brand!!-The protector paper part removed off the sticky part a lot easier than any other brand we have used in past, there was no getting aggravated and having to get hub to remove it for me..-The sticky part DOES come off hardwood floor easily as well, will it also do so in a few months or years, i don’t know yet but, given how smoothly and easy it was to remove it and replace on floor right, i think it will come off just fine and there will be no need for that nasty chemical spray hub used to remove the unremovable gooeyness from last brand we used at our old house.-i taped down 2; 5 by 7” rugs all the way around. I taped down 1; 5 by 7” on ends of it and i barely made a dent in the first roll, you get a lot of tape!!!! it is worth every dollar they are asking, if not more..recommend, rugs are still sticking to it 3ish weeks later..

I know it says carpet tape, but I needed a strong double-sided tape to hold the maple cover of my Pilates machine on to cover the metal bars. I had used the foam tape that came with the Pilates machine and it never worked, so I thought carpet tape. This was magnificent! It is super sticky. I actually made the mistake of putting it on the vertical sides and then when I went to push it down, it stuck so quickly I couldn’t push it down. I was now left struggling with all my might to yank it back off. It was not coming willingly, but I finally pried it off. I then scraped off the tape on the sides and opted to try it just on the flat top. I added another strip for good measure, and proceeded to attach the maple box cover. It held great and continues to hold with no movement. I don’t believe I could remove it now even if I wanted too.The review asks if easy to remove, my experience would say no. Usually though, I would think I would not want carpet tape to be easy to remove as it would defeat the purpose of securing carpet so people do not trip or fall on moving floor coverings. In my eyes, not being easy to remove is a good thing. If you are renting or are not sure of exactly where you want to tape down carpet, I would try applying in an inconspicuous area and seeing if you think you can clean the residue of the tape up without ruining the finish of the flooring, if there is a chance that you will need or want to remove the carpet tape. This came with two large rolls and seems to be a good value.I just want to point out with my review that you can think outside the box and use this product for more than sticking down carpets.

This tape has very strong adhesive and is super "grippy" - as you would expect in a carpet tape. Plus, it's very easy to use. (Just don't cut it with scissors - it will leave a sticky residue on your scissors and make them stick together when you try to cut other items. Best to cut it with a utility knife.)We've put it on the runners we have in the kitchen (which used to constantly move all over the place) and it has worked beautifully to prevent further movement. It's a great product that does exactly what it promises to do. We love it.As an aside, the thing I've run into with double-sided carpet tape is that, if it isn't sticky enough, it doesn't do its job well. If it's really sticky and you change your mind, some brands make it a bear to get the adhesive off the floor. This tape appears to address both issues: it's super sticky and keeps the carpet down and yet it promises to not leave a sticky residue if you need to remove it. I haven't tested that feature yet, but that's part of the reason I got this, so I'll accept it at face value.I think this is a great product that does the job it's intended to do and I highly recommend it.
