Received the scanner and it was packed securely. Quickly set it up and connected it to a Raven cloud account with ease thanks to the user-friendly interface. However, after two days of light use, a firmware update popped up and continually stalls at 70%, making the scanner unusable without completing the update.Despite submitting a support ticket and calling the helpline multiple times, leaving detailed messages, I've received no response a week later. The scanner looks good, but it's let down by flawed software and horrible customer service. Definitely not worth the $700 price tag.BUYERS, BEWARE!!

I was a big fan of ScanSnap Scanners but took a chance on this one. ScanSnap Scanners are great except for the WiFi features. I saw the Raven is able to support WiFi without having to connect to a PC. I tried it and it works perfectly! I connected to cloud services and now anyone in my household can scan whatever they need and have access to the document through the shared cloud folder - nobody has to bother me for help. It's so easy to use. I got the Pro with the flatbed scanner too! I just replaced two products I had with one, easy to use device!

We have been using this great scanner through tax season and it has been a lifesaver. So convenient to set up a scan either on a computer or directly on the scanner's menu screen. Very easy to send a document to a computer file or directly to an email. If you need higher speed scanning for your home business without spending thousands for a large office machine, this is the solution for you! Bonus points for the great puns that greet us every morning when we turn it on.

The scanner initially worked great however when it was time to order replacement parts, I was getting no response from Raven Support. After doing some research, I learned that they went out of business several months ago. I don't think Amazon should have sold the product knowing it wouldn't be supported. Scanners are just like printers and need replacement parts sometimes. Without support, you can't get these replacement parts. It is just a fancy paperweight at this point. DISAPPOINTED.

This item is not available with cloud service and does not work without it. I have been trying to return it since purchase, and cannot get a response from the manufactuer which appears as if they are going out of business. No refund from Amazon.

The scanner's product description implies it can function in a "standalone" mode, but "standalone" would reasonably be interpreted (1) at best as without the use of a computer or the internet or (2) at worst without a connection to the internet. This scanner can do neither. It will not work unless you expose all your scans to whomever the company grants full access to its "Raven Cloud.". This is especially suspicious considering (1) the scanner is under-priced considering its capabilities, (2) a true standalone capability would be trivial to add, yet the company does not allow it, and (3) the scanner's provenance.

This company is in the process of shutting down. Their “Raven Cloud” service will end 12/31/23.There is no assurance the machines will work after that date.

I'm liking everything about this scanner!! I'm going paperless in my medical practice to permanently secure my patients records. It is user friendly, and the technical support is amazing!!!
