This set works great together, with fantastic range and reliability. I had a frustrating problem in first using them that I finally figured out. I had mounted the transmitter atop my hot-shoe mounted Canon 580EXii flash head to trigger additional off-camera flash. The off-camera would fire ONLY if the 580 was powered OFF. (?) Finally realized the 580 flash emits radio interference when powered on. Even turning the transmitter around 180 degrees gave me about a 50% success rate, and removing it off the flash entirely got me back to 100%. Needless to say, I've found an alternate place to mount the transmitter, and now everything works great! Thought I'd share the advice...
