An excellent product that comes with all you need to get privacy when traveling and prevent those nosy neighbors from seeing your sensitive information on a plane, train or other public space. It comes with two sets of plastic mounts which allow the privacy filter screen to be slid out and removed completely, or turned around from privacy (gloss finish) to anti-glare (matte finish) in a few seconds, as needed.Fixing the mounts to the side of the screen took a few seconds.A must have for the business traveler.Note this was for the 12.5" diagonal, 16:9 aspect ratio screen and fits perfectly

So there are two ways to install the screen but I chose the one where the sticky tack is on the screen so it is visible but its a see through type sticky thing. Does it work yes but it depends on the brightness. So my brightness is all the way high and if I lean my body to the left as far as I can I can still see the screen but if its all the way down then it works great. To be honest I do not mind it still does its job by blocking most of the light when the brightness is all the way up. However if you're concerned with a person right next to you this filter will not work.

UPDATE 2/4/19: I have removed this screen and no longer use it. The bubbles made it too difficult to see the screen, especially if I was trying to decipher a color or see any detail. Sometimes they were there, sometimes they weren't, so I it wasn't installation error. I did remount it awhile back to see if I could get rid of the bubbles permanently - didn't work. On my second install, I did rotate it so that the cutout was on the bottom and the sticky tabs were raised off the visible portion of the screen, which made those sections less distracting. However, the issue of the bubbles made the screen unusable for me. Unfortunately I missed the return deadline but wanted to update my review in case it's helpful to others. I can't recommend the product and really wish I had returned it.I've just installed this screen, wanted primarily for anti-glare, and there are several issues already. 1. The sticky tabs in the corners are visible. Perhaps this won't bother me as time goes on but right now it's pretty annoying. 2. The cut-out that I assume is used for the slide-out version is obviously visible. 3. There are bubbles in the middle of the screen that I can't get rid of.It's possible that a slightly larger filter would take care of the first two problems; however then I'd have to worry about blocking the camera. The third issue might have been less noticeable if I hadn't followed directions and instead had removed both protective masks before installing. The directions have you remove the side going against your screen first and then removing the second after the filter is applied. But it's difficult to remove and invariably lifts somewhat during the process.I'm going to live with this for a few days to see if perhaps I can get over these issues. If not, I'll look to get a refund and appreciate the company offering a 30-day guarantee. I hope they stick by it...and that I can get this off without marring my screen!NOTE: I have an ASUS UX550VE.

I have not saw privacy screens being used widely in decades on computers. However, I had just purchased a new work laptop and would be traveling extensively so I decided I needed to ensure I could work in public when needed while still maintaining the privacy of my clients. This was a perfect buy! It comes with two different ways to mount the screen. You can use double sided adhesive tape to affix the screen directly too the monitor which would provide the most seamless, refined look. Or, you can adhere small plastic tabs to the frame of the monitor and slip the screen behind those. I chose the latter due to not wanting to put an adhesive directly on the LCD, However thinking back I wish I would have and since I have kept the packaging it is still an option to obtain the most seamless look. The plastic tabs though are not awful and in fact are rarely noticed. The adhesive is amazing and I have had no issues with it and will be able to remove fairly easily I expect. The screen itself is quality material and offers 2 functions in one. Turned one way and you have a screen with no glare perfect for outdoor use or if you will be filming your screen for whatever reason. Turn it the other way and you have a privacy filter that blocks out prying eyes very well. So well, people standing just 3 feet away just slightly to the side assumed the computer to be turned off. It has perfectly performed as I expected and would choose again for my future needs. Great product.

The item is ok. It fits side-side very well on my HP Pavilion - 17t. Top-bottom it leaves only a very small line at the top that isn't screened, plus a small fingertip cutout so you can get hold of it to remove it when you want. Straight-on it does filter brightness. Unfortunately, the privacy from the side (which is why I personally bought this) is only so-so. It isn't completely "invisible" from the side as shown in the ad photos. The screen is darker, but you can see still some of what is there. As an example, when looking at the item's Amazon page, I could still see the shape of the pictures, like the shape of the laptop with the screen in front of it, and the fact that there are lines of text on the screen, but couldn't read the actual words. It's muted, but not completely black. Standing further away from the computer helped a little, but even that would be able to get at least an idea of what's on the screen.
