This is a very solid wood lathe. Love turning with it. The only thing I would improve is make the motor a soft start. Yes I can turn down the rpm before starting but at this price point I shouldn’t have to.

The shipping palette was slightly damage in transit, but the lathe wasn't harmed (minor scuffs to paint in a couple places). Lathe itself works great...I've turned and taught on an older version of this lathe...love the upgrades in this version! Directions are pretty skimpy though (for example, there's no info on the minimum air compressor capacity is needed to reliably use the built-in vacuum chuck).

Everything went smoothly for delivery and set up. I really enjoy my "Mustard Monster". Turns large stock without a complaint or vibration.
