As a teacher I labeled everything before the school year started and this thing is perfect for me. It came with 6 ribbons of labels and I have used 3 in just over a month. It works on all my devices and uses batteries and a cord. Love this thing for sure! Even my student helpers have been trained to use it!Update: months later and it's still working like a charm.

I think I am actually surprised by this little printer. It has so many options. The most impressive thing to me about it is that you can use it with or without batteries. Love that! It does not charge your batteries though. I recommend this product. Always refer to the product manual for detailed instructions.

This item is small I used to relable baby boxes. There were some trail and error with trying to get the letting in the center but once you get the hang of it it's quite easy to use.

I ordered this label maker for my partner. She LOVES to label things around the house..... her crafting supplies, kitchen containers, shoe boxes and on and on. Her old label maker was the gun type that indented the tape with the letters and the tape didn't stick as long as we liked. This one is a great replacement!First of all, it's tiny! You can see that it fits in the palm of my hand easily. It is about 3 inches square and about 1.5 inches high. It is simple to operate as there is only one button, a light to show it's powered on and a micro-USB port. The unit will operate either plugged in or on batteries....it doesn't charge batteries though so you should only use alkaline batteries. You must download their app to use the label maker and here is where the issues arise (for me anyway). There is a QR code so you can simply scan it with your cell phone camera and it will take you right to the app. The problem I have is the list of permissions. For a label maker, I don't know why they need my precise location, ability to record audio, retrieve other running apps on the phone and run at startup. It should only need the permissions to connect to the label maker and run when I need it to use it.That said, the app is very easy to use. Once you connect it to the printer, you can choose any number of different options. There are a lot of different fonts, you can adjust the font size, type what you want and then move it around to the desired location on the label, print individual labels or continuous labels and much more. It feels like using a full fledged version of a large companies office suite.Once you have designed your label and sent it to print, it prints FAST! It literally takes a second or two to print a label. After printing the test label, I went and ended up labeling all the card games I have in my craft boxes. The print is on permanently as soon as it comes out of the label maker. I tried to smudge the labels and, even with a good amount of pressure when rubbing, there was zero smearing. The printer comes in a nice box (it looks like a gift box) and includes a micro-USB cable and 6 rolls of labels, both individual size and some for constant labels. The only thing I wish was different would be to include a solid white roll. All of the rolls are pastel like colors. If you plan on using it for business purposes, you may want to purchase some white rolls.Overall, I really like this label maker. It's small enough that you can carry it easily in a pocket, prints quickly and cleanly and has tons of flexibility to fit your needs. I plan on installing the app when I need it and then uninstalling it until the next time I need it again.

I really wanted to like this little label maker. The form factor is very appealing and I could see myself using it more often as it is easy to toss in my computer backpack or leave out on my desk. I have a larger Epson label printer, but it's too big to leave out or put in a computer backpack and so it ends up not getting used much, even when I think I'd like a label for something. For starters, it is disappointing that they don't include a plain white label. In the photo it sure looked like one of the label rolls was white, but actually it's the pastel pink and blue cloud pattern in my test label photo. I'm a guy and wanted this printer to label guy things including putting my name on power tools etc. None of the pastel colors work for me so I would have to purchase white labels from the manufacturer. Is this the plan?Moving on, I pretty easily figured out how to start the label roll in the printer, but turning it on took a while. From the manual, it appears you can operate the printer via USB-C so I tried USB charging cables from various sources including directly from my MacBook Pro USB-C charger. None of them worked. All I can figure is that once you have batteries installed THEN you can use USB-C. But then you have batteries and don't need to. I don't get why it was designed so batteries MUST be present in order to turn on.I didn't have 4 spare AAA batteries so I charged a couple and raided another device for a couple more. If you're going to force people to use batteries after advertising you can use it with USB-C it would be nice to include 4 cheap batteries to at least get customers up and running. Now I could FINALLY turn this little printer on. I took a deep breath and put my getting-started frustration behind me, ready to appreciate this little printer for what it could do. I looked at the next step in the manual...downloading the app which is the only way to print with this printer. I did a doubletake when I read the note in TWO outlined boxes stating that Android users have to turn on GPS location for the app in order to use it. Why would geolocation be necessary to use a label printing app? It is well known that there are numerous sketchy Chinese apps that harvest data from users. I don't know why they want this data, but when things are done in secret, sneaky ways it doesn't look good. With apprehension, I downloaded the app to my iPhone. Apple has stricter guidelines about what sort of apps get past their app reviewers and the iPhone version doesn't require location sharing, but there are data-gathering apps that have been snuck into the iOS app store before. I did commit to writing a review though and I couldn't write my review without downloading the app. The app was okay with a distinctly Asian, younger, feminine feel to it. Again, not something I could tolerate using as a guy. But then, I'm clearly not their target market here. Before you can print a label you have to select from a long selection of tape sizes. However, I couldn't tell what the tape size was. I finally found it in extremely tiny letters on the picture of a tape roll in the instructions. This was much harder than it needed to be.Finally I was ready to print. I hit the print button and the tape came out with the label neatly centered horizontally...but not vertically. The printing was clearly lower on the tape than the center which would really bug me if all my labels were like this. Maybe it was user error and the tape size in the instructions was not the one in my printer which affected the vertical centering?Anyway, that wasn't the biggest issue. The print was very pixelated too...I'm taking like my 1982 dot matrix printer. I checked the specs of the printer and it showed 180px print density. But I have a much larger Epson I bought years ago with 180px print density that prints MUCH clearer than this printer. So clearly the print DPI is not the only thing that affects the print quality of a label printer. Now, with label in hand, I assessed the printer. Here I have a product that only works with batteries installed, comes with only pastel labels, requires a (potentially) spyware app to function, prints off-center, and is so pixelated it looks like it belongs in Minecraft. To me this is a huge waste of time. If it didn't require the sketchy app I'd give it to a friend's young daughter to play with. That's the most suitable target market in my opinion. But that is the very market you most don't want to have a sketchy app on their phones. I don't know what to do with it now.
