Ok so this hardly worked out of the box it kept failing...upon inspection I discovered many places on the cord looked like a rat or something chewed on it at the warehouse or this was used and abused them reshipped to a new customer.Don't buy, it either sat around and got gnawed on by rodents or they just took a returned abused product and sent it out to a new home...Yes I should of filed a claim and returned it but TBH it's a pain and I can eat the cost as a lesson to be more discerning.

Son writing this:I got this back in January 2014. It worked fine, but a month later or so, the analog sticks started acting weird.

I bought this controller to use for PC use. After playing a lot of a couple WASD keyboard controlled games, I decided to get a controller for the controller based games I had bought during the Steam sale. The neon green color caught my attention immediately and the fact that it was seethrough made me reminiscent of my childhood. Growing up in the 80's and 90's I was one of the lucky girls who had the see through telephone that lit up when it rang. Remember those? I thought it was the coolest thing ever and so this controller reminded me of the good old days of landlines and 90's nostalgia.*ahem* Okay, on to the controller. I only had one main worry about this controller before purchase: will the material be difficult to hold after long palm sweating gaming sessions? We've all been there. The 8 hour marathons of yelling and laughing with friends in a multiplayer game, or trying to get to the next level or checkpoint before bed ("One more checkpoint.... one more... okay one more...crap it's 5AM!") Well, after lots of frustration with a game for hours on end and lots of claminess on my palms this controller remained inside my palm and not thrown across the room after slipping out of my hands at a crucial moment. The colors are eyecatching and unique compared to the generic black XBOX style controller. The reaction time and responsiveness are perfect. I really have no gripes with this product and think it was well worth the money. I made a great choice and hopefully you enjoy your controller as much as I do!

Overview: I bought this controller to play PC games with and as far as the physical aspects go, it's an excellent controller, seems to be well made, and my main issue is button mapping.Pros: Good alternative vs name brand.Solid controllerLooks coolCons: Joy sticks are a hard plastic and can be rough on your thumb in games like NHLThe PC button mapping is TERRIBLE.A little bit more specific about the PC button mapping issue. Whenever you plug it in and the computer gets the driver for it, it maps certain buttons to numbers. Games that don't automatically detect it as an xbox controller will use those button mappings to determine which buttons controls This isn't a problem for the four face buttons which are the first four mapped. Then LB is 5, RB is 6, still not problems. Then select and start are mapped as 7 and 8. That is a problem because most games use button 7 and 8 and have them mapped. Another problem is that the joy sticks are mapped as a button that when you press down on them. This is an absolutely huge issue in one game I played (NHL 09) because accidentally clicking the joy stick button pulls your goalie off the ice. (For those of you who aren't hockey fans, that's a generally bad thing in the middle of a game that will cause huge amounts of rage.) I ended up getting around this by using software that takes controller movements and converts it to what the computer recognizes as keyboard buttons being pressed. It removes the game killing rage causing part, but it only gives me the same accuracy the keyboard has, which isn't great. My friend has a name brand xbox controller and doesn't have this problem. There is also no updated drivers or anything that fix this and no way to remap the actual buttons that I have found.Summary: If this controller is only for xbox 360, I highly recommend it. If you are mainly planning on using this on newer PC games or don't care about issues like I said, this controller is excellent. I am happy with the controller and have used it on many games without issue, so from what I have seen it's not an issue that pops up a lot, but feel I have to mention it in my review. Based on the mapping issue and lack of drivers, I can't give it five stars based on the PC part of it.

Not a well made product. The left directional joy stick started sticking to the right after few days of use.. The left joy stick totally failed on second week of use. Soon as I connect gamepad to the Xbox it starts moving the menu screens to the right. It won't stopgoing till it's unhooked from the xbox. I was going to get another brand gamepad but they where out of stock. When I placed the order back in Dec 2013. So I ordered the Rock Candy gamepad cause my daughter wanted a green gamepad.

I bought this because My other controller, an Airflow Controller for XBox 360 - Wired, died after over 11 months of use. I would have bought the Air Flow, but the price went up from 15 dollars to 50, so I wanted a cheaper alternative. I found this and decided to try it out. It works great, no problems so far. It has been a month, and I haven't had problems. It is a really cool controller because you can see the inside and how it all works, and I really like its dense and curved feel. Definitely worth it.

The kids love the color, and the joystick is surprisingly of high quality. If you play any games on Steam, you should definitely consider this as many games require an Xbox 360 controller. This is cheap and works perfectly. Now if it only changed my PC into an Xbox, then it would be worth 12 stars.Update - I tried to use this with a Raspberry Pi board, and it did not work. It was not detected as being an Xbox 360 controller, and I was unable to figure out how to get past it. Look elsewhere if you're trying to do a Raspberry Pi based arcade.
