you have to mount it on a void to have room for splices. the lights are always on. great night light for me. I use a sleep mask anyway.

This does have a light that is on constantly, i bought for my motorhome decided to not use in bedroom but the dining as a result of the light nice looking outlet works well.

Easy to install and perfect for mounting on a flat surface. You just need to drill 3 holes - 2 oles for the fasteners and one passthrough hole for the wires. It looks good but who knows how long it will last, it's light duty only.
