This is a great jar opener and milk opener if you have trouble with such things!! Highly recommend it!! I put my opener underneath my kitchen cupboard and it really helps with getting the lids off containers!!

My old one broke after about 30? years. The teeth on it were in a sharper V shape and longer. That's what I don't care for about this one. It does work fine, but because of what I mentioned I have to lean into it to get it to hold onto the jar lids before I twist them. The old one you just put the jar up and it twisted easier. I'm getting older and it's a little difficult for me, but it's still way better than not being able to open a jar for yourself. It was a little difficult for me to screw it under my cabinet, but I expected that. I hate to be negative about it because it does work, but if you are a little weaker or have physical problems it might be a little difficult. Hey, it came with two, so I can't complain too much.

I am so disappointed. It took me quite a while to get a handy man to install this. The stickum part didn't even stay up for two days. Now I get to use it and I have tried & tried to open just a jar of strawberry jam. It does not grab ahold of the metal screw on top. So I put some two way sticky stuff on the smooth side & still it doesn't work. The teeth are just to small and though they touch the lid, they never grab it. I am hoping they will refund my money because I live on a fixed income. BYER BEWARE

I love the idea odd this but it still requires strength to work. I have a stronger, hand held one that works with little effort, thought the idea of being permently and conveniently mounted was ideal. I think the plastic weakens it's effectiveness.

We absolutely love our jar holder. We have had one in the last three houses we lived in. They are easy to install and work like a charm. The reason we never took our jar holder with us when we moved was because we felt we wanted the new owners to enjoy the use of this product as we did. We just ordered more. Two in a package for the price is a deal. We also buy them for gifts. One small drawback is that you are supposed to put up with double stick tape which worked well in some of our houses. However, newer cabinets have finishes underneath the cabinets that are very smooth and the double stick tape will not work. We installed with small screws and are enjoying the product as usual. Highly recommend!!

Purchased this as a stocking stuffer for a friend that has arthritis and she is very happy with it. It is the only opener that she has had that works.

We rarely use it... but when we do... it has (so far) opened 100% of the jars we have tried. All sizes. I used a Sharpie to mark the turning direction. But that's really not needed. Cleverly, the teeth are only on 1 side... so if you turn in the wrong direction... it won't tighten (nor loosen) the jar and is an instant reminder that you need to turn in the other direction. (If you are buying this item to TIGHTEN jars... you won't be able to.) Very surprised on the low price, for two... but I'll take it. I used the 'screw mounting', because I didn't know if the 'adhesive method' would be strong enough. I say you should buy this item immediately!

Pros: Very large jars will fit into it.Cons: Did not stay up - it fell off the underside of the cabinet after one week (no mounting screws were supplied, just adhesive). The sharp metal gripping teeth seem a bit small and bit into the metal jar lid, leaving sharp metal fragments that could hurt the hand when opening the lid again. We had another brand that had mounting screws, was smaller overall but with with bigger teeth, and that worked better, but we had moved and decided to try this opener. We threw it away.

I cannot say enough good things about this Jar Opener. For starters, I drink a lot of bottled Water. As you know, the lids are very small and hard to open. It works perfectly with these small lids, I don't even bother to open them with my hands any more when I am home. I have opened several sized lids, all with the same outcome, no strain, very easy open. I just ordered 2 more sets as Christmas gifts for my best friend and my Mother-in-law.FYI- They come with screw holes but no screws. No problem for me, but just thought you would like to know.I have not gotten these free or discounted in any way. I just wanted to share my experience because I was so impressed with this jar opener.
