As a Professional Stage & Lighting Technician, Sound & Studio Engineer, Professional Audio-Visual Production Specialist and Musician I've been pretty much working with HDMI since it's inception! In the old days there really was no cost-effective way to take an HDMI signal and split it out into multiple devices! It was super costly at the time, super bulky and seriously just a pain to work with! However Through The Years technology has improved and I think OREI is creating some of the best products for HDMI and are true innovators in this technology!This HDMI 1x4 extender kit from OREI is absolutely fantastic! What this product allows you to do is take one single HDMI source and split it out to four different monitors! If you're doing a giant convention where there are multiple screens or breakout sessions which have the same identical video footage this is the perfect way to take that one single signal from let's say a laptop and split it out to four different monitors via Cat6 cable! The great thing is this can extend a single video signal from the source up to $230 ft which is quite a long distance!Also another great feature about this unit is in the old days we would need to have a power adapter for each receiver! This means if you had four TVs you would need to find a power source for each receiver going to that TV! However with this unit they utilize power over cable technology which means the only thing which needs power now is the transmitter and through Cat6 technology they're able to supply power to the receivers as well which eliminates the need for extra power adapters for each of the receivers!Also included with this kit are for infrared receiver cables as well as an IR blaster cable for the main unit! There's obviously four receivers and one transmitter and a main power adapter for the transmitter itself! Other than that this kit is ready to rock and roll!For my test, I used my laptop and connected it to the main transmitter! From the transmitter I ran three different Cat6 cables to three separate monitors that I had in the studio! When viewing each of the monitors that were extended from the laptop I noticed there was perfect clarity, no latency, no issues with video or sound quality or anything else that would be noticeable when using this product!Overall I found this kit to be extremely well put together, super easy to use, very well thought out, the build quality is excellent as each of the units are a full metal chassis and I also like the convenience of not having to have extra power adapters at the receiver end since this is now utilizing power over cable technology! I felt that the price on Amazon was very reasonable and cost-effective as well! Therefore I am rating this product five stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐As I had previously mentioned I have been working with HDMI from its initial Inception and feel that this product has brought this technology to where it should be and makes it so simple and easy to extend a single signal over to four different receivers whether it be a monitor, a projector, etc! If you're in audio-visual production or in a studio environment that has several different monitors which utilize the same content I would highly recommend getting this product! It honestly doesn't get any better than this!
