Your cart is empty.Brand New ultra compact NEMA17 bipolar stepper motor from OSM one of the largest stepper motor manufacturers in China. This is a 2A, 1.8deg, dual shaft model with holding torque 83.6 oz-in/0.59 N.m. The shaft is 5mm diameter and is 13mm out of one side and 19.5mm out of the other side. It has two flat areas on the longer shaft. Connection is made through 4-wires (Black, Green, Blue, Red) 225mm long stripped and tinned. It was amply demo'ed that it was puny powered for the app.So I have embarqued on the path of making a coupling shaft where the OEM motor was, and driving it with a nema-23 stepper/servo at 48 volts.Coupling shaft from 25mm carbon fiber tube, and rebuilding the X axis with a carbon fiber tube and linear bearings. About 1/3rd done, and getting a lesson on drying filament that was opened from a vacuum sealed bag yesterday, did poorly until near the end of the 3rd dry cycle.This ought o keep me out of the bars till at least the end of February 2023.
