It does start in muted mode so don't forget to hit that microphone button to unmute. It turns red when muted so you've got a nice indicator there. Easy to put yourself in a "double mute" situation if you're used to clicking on the software mute so may take a little adjustment there.Sound quality is very respectable and my meeting attendees said I was coming through nice and clear. I'm only about a foot from the mic so I can't speak to how it works in say a meeting room... no one seemed to notice when my wife came in the room and rustled around a bit so I'm assuming the noise cancellation does a decent job as well.
