This was mislabeled and the website description was completely wrong. First, the package stated it was whole flowers - it was not. Second, the website description listed that this was Arnica montana. It is NOT. Beware. This is Mexican ‘arnica.’ This plant has a history of being used to adulterate true Arnica. Be sure you are wanting Mexican ‘arnica’ (which is not arnica) before purchasing as the product description is wrong.

The scent comes through subtly at first, after mixing it up a bit it was significantly stronger. Once in oil for awhile the scent really started coming out. Lots of flower, not all stems. It is a very fibrous plant so wear gloves if your going to handle it or you might itch a bit.

Heads up: if you're going to pour this into a jar, consider doing that outside. The flower parts fluffed out and got all over me. My arms and neck are so itchy! But it smells amazing and I can't wait to make some stuff with it!

I use a lot of arnica oil in my natural products. This product worked great for making my own arnica warming oil.
