Works very well. I no longer burn myself if I get too close to the top and I can safely store the trays on top of my air fryer/toaster oven.

This silicone microwave oven protective mat is a perfect size for most microwave and toaster ovens. I am using this on top of our panasonic toaster oven. Since the oven sits on the countertop, I want to be able to utilize the space above it to store bread and related items. But I was worried about how hot it got on the outside.With this mat, the surface for storing my items remains at room temperature. I can now put stuff on it even if it is in a thin plastic bag like the breads or buns. The grey color of the mat is not too distracting. It also got into a proper flat shape without much coaxing. Its stability on top of the oven also brings a lot of peace knowing that things on it or the mat itself won't slip easily.

I’m using this “off label” on top of an air fryer/convection oven. In that use, it’s giving me additional space on my small counter. The top of this oven can get hotter than a microwave, but probably not over the 446F upper temperature limit quoted. However, if I use the oven for more than a quick operation, I remove the mat. That being said, it does work well and does give me more space. I’ve used it for quick (less than 20 minute) operations, and it works fine with no damage from the heat, so it should work totally well on a microwave. The mat is not rigid, but rather flexible (comes folded). It’s easy to clean, and if needed, easy to store. And it makes use of otherwise wasted space.

I'm not sure why i didn't get something like this sooner for the top of my microwave. It's easy to clean, the raised sides helps prevent things slipping behind the microwave and it seems relatively heat resistant (from what I've found so far). This product is a solid choice for the price.

This is a nice size mat. The lip around the edges is great for preventing things from falling off and the silicone is non-slip, so it also prevents things from sliding around. It's a good thickness and seems to hold up well to the heat. I can think of plenty of other places something like this would be useful too. It would be perfect on a dresser as a tray for emptying pockets and would provide plenty of space to sort everything without having to dig around.
