I bought these to stop sewing thread from unwinding from the spools. The 8 mm are tight, especially on plastic spools, but are a great fit if you have wooden spools.

I used these in my plastic bowling pins so I could add some weight to them during our field day activities. They worked amazing. Waterproof and easy to install and they stayed in place. No worries at all.
