I should say I've never owned a 1/2 impact before because I've never had a reason to get one, but I've used several. That said, I got this so I could work on my truck and it had absolutely no trouble removing the lug nuts from my truck. It already has a 22mm impact socket so I didn't have to look for mine. It's a standard size 1/2 impact and it's not very heavy, at least compared to the pneumatic ones I've used. It has good power, it's easy to use. I can't say much about the battery life simply because I'm only using it to remove lug nuts, and the run time would also be dependent on the size of the battery. I used a simple 2ah battery and it worked just fine. It was able to remove and replace 24 lug nuts on the one 2ah battery though.

Definitely a good buy for the money. The included sockets seem decent, but I haven't actually tried them. I'm fairly confident they will work at least a few times, and I'm betting this tool isn't going to be used as a high use item. If any of the sockets fail, most people will have time to replace them before the next use. The case was nice, but I wish they had a cut out for a battery. There is room to cut the foam to fit a battery. I used the tool and another socket to remove a water heater anode. It was a pretty tough nut to loosen, but this tool did the job.

This handled all my rusty suspension and motor mount nuts and bolts on a 2001 Honda Accord V6 with all Northeast driving. It had no issues with torqued lug nuts, I like the reverse auto stop feature once the lug is loose, you will need a second tap with light trigger finger to completely remove the lug when you're ready. I don't know how it would work on heavy-duty trucks, but it had no issues with my daily driver. It's too large for finer work, great to leave in trunk for an emergency tire change. Best of all is no need for different batteries or charger, works great on the Dewalt batteries, recommend 4 Amp hours or more.

Wow, this tool is fantastic for the price. I own many Milwaukee electric tools and was not ready to purchase a $600 12 inch driver conterpart from milwaukee, took a chance and it's a really good tool, i do recommand this tool!
