I use canning jars to store a lot of food, including freeze dried foods. I have always used a beer can opener, but was not happy with the results, because it bent the edge of the metal lid, making it unusable for future batches or for vacuum sealing my dried foods.This opener is genius! It does an amazing job of opening canning jar lids without bending the metal top, making them unusable.
