I just wanted something that could quickly and safely provide some thin slices of vegetables, and this is it! I love the fact that it's so easy to use and easy to wash, either by hand or in the dishwasher. I place it horizontally on the top of a small bowl, and there are notches on the bottom of the mandoline that hold it in place. Then I just place the vegetable in the silicone gripper and move it across the horizontal blades. It's surprisingly fast, easy, and safe. The blades are sharp but well protected to be safe. It's strong and well-made. Perfect! I wouldn't want anything bigger. This mandoline is just right!

This is a great value kitchen basic. I appreciate the included finger guard that doubles as a blade protector when not in use.Thickness is easy to adjust - just not complicated.The handle and base are rubbery to be non-slip.The blade is sharp so slicing is quick and easy. It just works as it should.User guide is printed on the box.Happy to find and recommend this affordable versatile kitchen tool.

I have looked at these over the years and never got one. There's been such varieties I didn't want to get the wrong one for me and then have this big thing taking up space. But I was pretty sure I wanted it to stand on it's own. Then this one came available at a price worth trying.I do have to hold it. It doesn't stand on it's own. But it's so small! No effort. And there's a silicone trim to keep it from moving.I'm super pleased that it's small. Looks like a baby Mandoline, but works so fast! I can see why people like these! It was like magic.The adjustment for the thickness is a matter of moving a lever on the side. Simple and safe.The veggie "holder" has teeth, so it hangs on well. Then just move you hand back and forth, the entire time your fingers are protected. Within seconds, you're done slicing! Wow! Magic!Since I've never used one before, I have nothing to compare it to. But I'm very pleased with how well this slices and how simple! My goodness. And then this thin, small "board" went right into the dishwasher. I'm sold.Great price and love that it doesn't take up all of the space that the bigger box ones do. I'm thinking I'll have to get another one for the camper! It's such a time saver! We like making the foiled dinners on the fire pit. I'm actually excited about using this while camping.

This mandoline is a handheld slicer. It does get the job done but its a bit limited in use for my needs in the kitchen. The build is decent and the blades are sharp which makes slicing pretty easy. It feels safe to use as it has a non-slip base and hand guard.I'm a bit dissapointed in the fact that the blade thickness is fixed with no adjustment options. You only get one slicing option reducing flexibility for different reciepes. Since its completely hand held it can get tiring to use pretty fast when prepping a ton of things. I like to dehydrate and make meals and soups in a jar and it does give a nice even product with some quirks.The compact design does make it easy to clean and the flat design makes storage easy. Good for light or small prep tasks.

At first I was a little worried about the piece that helps hold the items to slice, however when I used it proved to be a good accessory.The blade is very sharp, it's very safe to wash when you put on ZERO mode. There are sliced that are only achievable with a mandolin and this one doesn't disappoint.
