Unit cane with advertised equipment, takes about 40 sec to boot, constantly looses GPS connection , questionable depth readings .

I PURCHASED HOOK 7 ONE YEAR AND TWO MONTHS IT NEVER DID WORK VERY WELL ---EVERY TIME I CALLED THEY WOULD INSTRUCT ME ON HOW TO GIVE THE UNIT A HARD RESET AND IT WOULD CORRECT THE PROBLEM FOR ONE TRIP OUT , I DIDN'T USE THE THING AT ALL BECAUSE I HAVE AN OLDER MODEL THAT WORKS GREAT . TODAY I WENT TO THE LAKE AND CALLED AND TRIED TO SEE IF THEY COULD HELP GET THE THING RUNNING AGAIN (THE MENU BUTTON DOESN'T WORK) THEY TOLD ME THAT IT WASN'T POSSIBLE TO MAKE IT WORK, IT IS TWO MONTHS OUT OW WARRANTY AND ALSO OUT OF LUCK IT IS A PEICE OF JUNK

I like it way better then the hummingbirds i've used. I bought another one and replaced the hummingbird on the front of my boat also. They work great.

Really nice machine. I first bought a Hook 5 for my kayak, but my old eyes wanted to see more, so I ended up getting this after looking at one in the local sporting goods store. Even with a 7" screen, it looks so much larger than the Hook 5 screen. It is identical to the other Hooks other than screen size and this is the great size for my kayak fishing. I ended up selling my Hook 5 at a loss to help pay for the larger 7" screen and my only regret was not starting out with the Hook 7 from the get-go.

Unit arrived with all the parts mentioned. Not refurbished or anything, it’s brand new. Please see picture. For $299 it doesn’t get better than this. Thank you Amazon.

Mine had all the parts needed when I received it; unit, card, mount, wiring, transducer and sun cover. Used it for the first time last night and it works fine. Transducer wire is approx.15 feet (i didn't measure but around that) so I did have to buy a cable extension from a local boat store but I expected to have to do that anyway for my boat size.
