The lk5 is my first 3d printer and it has performed extremely well. Assembly was straightforward.I was surprised to watch it handle almost everything thrown at it. Gridfinity bases & vase bins, yeti lid holders, a pro32 soldering clamshell case and not to mention relatively fine threads. Some models with overhangs do produce a few rings but I think it's an adjustment I have yet to tweak. One model, a wire spool holder failed and I don't know why. The printer seemed to think a support was present but was not. Just air.One of my requirements was the ability to print decent threads. It is plastic output and wasn't expecting much. Threaded dust covers for a Baofeng 5rm radio were ready in under 35 minutes and threaded well. A few did require a fiddle.I print with PolyMaker Pla Pro at 220 degrees and without an enclosure. Room temp is 68-70. We had some higher humidity days due to snowfall. I got a few bad prints after a couple good and decided to checkout a filament dryer. Seemed to do the trick.A few keys that worked for me:Check the SD card. Good info and software. Strain relief how-to+Level your bed. Then do it again. I stepped awayPrint a test model from the SD cardTune if necessaryDownload and print the shock absorbing feet from printables! Search for LK4. Different printer, similar feetZ-offset setting - your mileage may vary. I tried -.10, then -.15 and have been running at -.20If your prints don't stick to the bed, consider a glue stickYes it can produce plastic spaghetti. I think it was the model I downloaded or I incorrectly sliced/whatever in the software. One of the fans is a little chatty but other than that quiet with belts zipping back and forth. The mechanism employed to load new models is cumbersome but will choose my battles. I added a ribbon cable card reader and printed the attachment gear. It has to be power cycled to load the revised model list. Bummer but better.I think this is a great printer especially for the price. The print quality meets my expectations and 100% would buy again. Will add a few photos of prints.

The LK5 Pro is my 3rd 3D printer. I was wanting a printer with a larger print area to do some bigger prints that my son was wanting. I shopped around and settled on the Longer LK5 Pro. It has the biggest print area of virtually all other consumer 3D printers on the market based on my research and we very competitively priced. It wasn't an original selling point in my case but the printer having an open source motherboard is a huge plus. You can load on any version of firmware that you would like to use. I updated the firmware to Marlin 2.x which was supplied by Longer.I have upgraded and accessorized this printer quite a bit. The firmware update allowed me to install a BLTouch device for auto-leveling. I also added the dual Z-axis stepper motor kit and have Z-axis stepper motors on both sides of the gantry. Also I installed the filament run-out sensor which came shipped with the printer. Finally I purchased the PEI bed and replaced the glass bed which came with the printer. There are a lot of accessories on the internet which you can print and add to the printer. I added: storage drawers underneath the printer, filament guides, LED light strip holders, a casing around the LCD touchscreen, an SD card holder, height adjusters on the feet, cable chains, and a spool holder on the top of the printer (rather than using the factory one on the side of the printer). Additionally I hooked the printer up to a Raspberry Pi and am running Octoprint on the Pi with a camera (which I can mount in 2 different places) for monitoring the printer remotely. I also replaced the springs underneath the bed with stiffer springs to help with maintaining a level bed. Lastly I put the whole setup on smart switches (the Pi, printer, and LED lights) and can power the whole system on and off, starting prints remotely without even having to be at the printer. If you love tweaking and accessorizing your printer then you'll love the LK5 Pro. The printer parts are not proprietary meaning you can swap out hotends, extruders, nozzles, and a lot more with 3rd party parts. Longer's customer support has been great; quick responses via email and stand behind their products and warranties. The printer has native support in Ultimaker Cura which makes slicing a breeze. The printer comes mostly preassembled. Assembly instructions for the few steps you do need to complete are included with the printer. There are also videos on Youtube of how to assemble the printer which help tremendously.Overall I've been extremely pleased with the Longer LK5 Pro. It's quickly became my favorite and go-to printer out of my 3 printers.
