If you shoot photos as a hobby this is perfect. But if you are a professional avoid this CF Card. I like the recovery software and it's fast for photos and HD Video.

I have a handful of SanDisk cards and I recently purchased this one to try it out.Unfortunately, all 3 photoshoots I did on it (Canon 5D Mark II) the images got messed up, but after wasting a few hours the first couple of times I was able to retrieve them and decided to not risk it again and only use it for video.Well, that only made matters worse, as I was NOT able to retrieve any footage in usable condition and it's a waste and a huge disappointment to me and the team. And turns out I my return window is now closed too...Thanks for nothing, Lexar. This was the last time I ever buy anything from you, and I'll make sure to blog about it as well.

I'm using this in both a Nikon D2X and D2H and it works very well. So if any of you out there have older Nikon cameras this should work fine. In the D2X using NEF(raw) image format it holds right at 1000 pictures. In the D2H with NEF(raw) image format it reads 1.4K pictures. It also runs as fast as the buffer can run so there is no slow down when shooting at 8 fps. The camera buffer is the slow point Which still allows 60 frames (I think) before slowing down. I tend to only buy Lexar CF cards and this is the reason. They always work!

This works great in my Canon 5D Mark II. I have a couple of these that I use and swap them each time I use them. I think they are plenty fast for pictures and video. I have no issues with downloads. I will be buying more in the future. (I paid for this item and did not receive a discount or get it for free.)

I am extremely happy with this card... so much so I went from the 400x to this card exclusively, I shoot sports photography, in full on Raw images and jpg images aren't enough detail for my editing style. I get a full buffet at around 15 - 20 images. I've since the learned to do shorter burst, but that info is just to let you know... also, the camera was a 5d mkiii

Have not used it as of this moment based on my use of the Lexar 1000 flawless in performance no problems with the card love the 1000 price performance for me speed is King for action that is why I love these cards shoot a slower card you will see the difference I did I tried it with a 600x and 800x go for the 1000x you will not go back to a slower card I do not care about a 3.0 download speed my computer does both speeds as I am not a pro just a thought from a semi ? pro? who just loves to go out and get at least one good photo when you take a long trip you always hope for the best as you always try to plan your shots for the day!Bill

I purchased the 16GB version, I was previously using (mostly) a pair of 16GB Lexar Professional 400x (60MB/s) cards.I did a test to see how much faster this card was than the 400x. Lexar states that the 400x is rated at a guaranteed 60MB/s rate, where the 1066x is rated up to 160MB/s.I am using these cards in a Canon 5D Mk II. During my test, I used manual mode with the following settings:1/125 secF/4 @ 24mmdaylight WBAF offIS offcontinuous shooting modeISO, see results belowI was shooting in RAW with all in camera corrections turned off (which is how I normally shoot anyways). I used a 10 second burst timed by using a timer. This was not scientific, so allow for +/- 1 frame margin of error.400x27 Frames @ ISO 10025 Frames @ ISO 80024 Frames @ ISO 160021 Frames @ ISO 320020 Frames @ ISO 6400The burst would slow at 14-12 frames, depending on the ISO.1066x34 Frames @ ISO 100 (21% faster)32 Frames @ ISO 800 (22% faster)31 Frames @ ISO 1600 (23% faster)29 Frames @ ISO 3200 (28% faster)26 Frames @ ISO 6400 (23%faster)The burst slowed at 17-16 frames, it was very consistent no matter what the ISO was. Now, a 21-28% faster card may not seem to be impressive, but in practice it is very noticeable. One thing I did notice was that the buffer was clearing out 4-5 times faster with the 1066x over the 400x and when the shots started to slow, the 1066x was very consistent and slowed from about 4 frames to 2 frames a sec, in contrast, the 400x would slow to 1-1.5 and would hesitate sometimes. Also, here is another thing to keep in mind; I'm using a camera that was designed and sold in 2008 If you are using a newer model DSLR, your results will most likely be more impressive.I also did a download test to see how much faster it would download. I used a USB 3.0 SanDisk ImageMate all-in-one on a computer using Windows 7 64 bit. I shot 30 images of the same scene onto each card. The 1066x had 604 MB of info and the 400x had 603 MB. The 1066x downloaded them in 6.01 seconds and the 400x did it in 7.60 seconds. My download test showed the 1066x being 21% faster, which is pretty consistent with the in camera results.*An interesting side note; when I was shooting the 30 frames for the download test, the 1066x rate of fire stayed consistent all the way through the 30 frames, the 400x slowed considerably at 25 frames and was maybe doing a frame a second until the 30th frame. *If you don't shoot action, weddings, wildlife, or some other fast changing or moving subject, this card will probably be over kill. If you do use the burst mode with any regularity, I would most definitely recommend getting one (if your camera supports this card).

Fast CF Cards but the 16GB is not as fast as the 32GB and above. Some websites spec it to be just as fast but they are not.
