My first experience with Kool Stop pads was in the 90’s. All sorts of weather I rode in with this brand on that bike. Every bike that I was able to install this brand pad on. The bike got them.Recently did an impulse buy on marketplace. My first purchase was Kool Stop pads. Excellent stopping power. Zero noise even when wet. Guessing they are still using the same compound as they did in 90’s because they still stop like I remember.

does a poor job of braking on my older cannondale. I have the two-tone eagle claw 2 pads on the front and they work great.

I got this for my 1993 Specialized Hard Rock mountain bike that has cantilever brakes. I put them on backwards by mistake. Make sure the long end with the plow points towards the back of the bike, because the rim at the top of the wheel moves the opposite direction (forward). That way the plow, plows the rim like the front of a train plows snow off the tracks.
