Sofar so good . No weird noises or grinding. I have the same set but a different compound on another set of wheels and they've been working great. The rims that I have on my bike are Chrome and there's no scratches or damage to the Chrome with these brake pads

Been using them for about 6 months and they are better than what came with the bike when I bought it.(used bike) have them installed in the rear. Been down a 30 minute descent with a sharp turn and having them make me feel confident doing 30mph+ down the decent.

Installs in minutes and together with brake handle silicone sleeves. It is very comfortable using the breaks.

They work well in the dry (have not tested in wet) but squeal like an MF even when adjusted properly. Overall I can't recommend them for this reason. The salmon pad inserts are quiet on my other bike. I am not sure if it is the compound or the difference between inserts (replacement pads) vs. internal backbone pads.

I had KoolStop dual-compound "mountain pads" on my Surly Cross-Check commuter (Avid Shorty 6 cantilever brakes), and they were devilishly hard to get adjusted with my 700c rims & 700x38 tires. The slightly narrower profile of these thinline pads makes them much easier to adjust & gives more clearance for wheel removal. My only issue has been that they seem to require an excessive amount of toe-in to prevent brake squeal, but they're the best I've tried so far.

As always coolstops ar a good choice, this one is a good choice for bikes with Vee brakes, (linear pull brakes), that don't have removable inserts. Good even stopping power, easy on the rim surfaces, works well in wet weather.
