I was able to connect multiple sources and switching between the sources worked great. The issue I found with this was when the different sources have different audio types. Dolby, DTS, stereo. The box needs to be set to accommodate the audio. Either that, or I have a faulty unit.

I purchased this item and had problems with the video and audio not working in one of the hdmi ports regularly. I ended up getting it refunded and purchased another one, hoping it was just a lemon. Unfortunately, throughout the time I had the new one, the audio would stop working sometimes, and in order to get it working again I would have to turn the unit off and then on again. A few days ago I had this happen again, and like always, I turned it off, but when I turned it on again nothing happened. The unit would not power on.I contacted the sellers to see if I could get a replacement, but they first wanted me to send pictures of the unit not turning on, trying a different power supply, etc. I had to email back and forth a bunch telling them explicitely nothing works, the unit is dead, and at the end they still seemed skeptical. I asked them to replace the unit and they finally informed me that I am right out of the 1 year warranty.I would not recommend to buy this unit at all. It is a faulty product and seems to have problems with multiple units. I never actually had it work without any problems. I just dealt with the problems every once in awhile. Instead, I should have kept sending each one back until I got a unit that worked correctly, if even possible. But for its price, it really should be backed better by the company. It is quite an expensive piece of equipment and I am out a good amount of money because the item is so faulty.

This product works as-advertised. I currently use it with two different computers and two monitors. The selection buttons on the unit or included remote allow me to seamlessly select which of my two computers displays to which monitors. However, the IR remote functionality is flaky at best.PROS:Functional hdmi-only KVM switch that allows you to easily select computer/display combos.CONS:IR Remote functionality does't work very well. If the IR sensor on the switch is obscured even slightly, it will not pick up the remote.The unit does not include any feet or pads on the bottom. Because of this, the metal case can easily scratch whatever surface it's placed on.UPDATE: I recently bought a new 1440p monitor and this switch does not seem to support a resolution of 2560x1440 at all. Since this is supposed to support up to 4K 60Hz, I don't see why a lower resolution should be a problem. I've tried every possible combination of the EDID switches with no luck, even after switching out the HDMI cables for new ones.

Easy to setup and works exactly as expected. It would be nice to receive more information regarding how EDID works, but I was able to find that on the internet.

The HDMI matrix switch gets extremely hot! Too hot to handle and would be a fire danger or potentially cause failure of any nearby electronics.Needed to use IR repeater/extender over HDMI devices with the switch; however the TV screen will momentarily blank every time any button is pressed on any remote.Basically the device is dangerous and unusable!

An affordable 4x4 matrix isn't easy to find, but I have had no problems with this. Another review mentioned heat, I haven't had an issue with it. I use this to take multiple sources (PS4, PC, DVD) and route it to two of my main monitors or my treadmill monitor (where I work when walking). Really happy with this.
