As soon as I got it in the mail and took it out of the package, the mere act of trying to get it out of the extremely tight case it was in some how separated the two pieces of the scope. Since it's all poly plastic, the threads that held the piece together were completely stripped, and basically the scope is non functional. After applying some lock-tight to the thread and holding it together with a vice, I was able to keep the piece together for now. The scope is pretty tiny, and works when the whole unit doesn't fall apart. I can see down the block pretty well. The optics are fairly clear, susceptible to moisture in the air, but neat. Not worth much cash really, and I would recommend a single housing model against this folder, as that's the part that's likely to break. Since the pivot point is plastic and it did break out of box, would not recommend the Hammers model of this.

First one I ordered broke within minutes by me simply extending the scope to use. I called the shipper and sent it back for another one. Shipper was good about sending a replacement. As far as the scope quality...okay for range stuff but useless after 100 yards.

I own a docter spyglass that this optic is a cheap clone of. While of course the optics do not compete with the docter optic this hammers optic shares the same ergonomics, size, and convienence as the original. You can see four of jupiters moons with this optic. Not bad for the price.
