The model number on the product listing confirms that this is the U.S. model, which is covered by Fujitsu 's 1 year factory warranty. The model must be new and conform to the model number ending in -101.This purchase is my second one of this model. I confirmed the model number on my existing fi7140, which is a U.S. model. I confirmed with Fujitsu tech support that they offer free technical support on their scanners, regardless if purchased new or used, so long as that model is currently supported. If you purchase an international model or refurbished model, Fujitsu will still provide free tech support, but no warranty if the machine fails. Refurbished models may be problematic if the page-scan count is high, but that information is not disclosed on the listings I've seen. These scanners are good for a hundred thousand scans and consumable parts are readily available when worn out.Also, not mentioned, is that this scanner can be configured to scan long documents, up to 132" x 8-1/2" wide, which will accommodate annual social security statements and vehicle purchase documents in one pass, in color and duplex.With a down load, this scanner also supports ScanSnap mode. Contact tech support for assistance.Also, there was some trouble with setting up this machine, which required that i contact tech support, so I'd advise their assistance rather than fool around endlessly trying to fix installation problems. My experience has consistently been stellar service over many years. They currently have a call-back feature if you don't want to wait on hold.Most listings on Amazon do not make it clear if the item is the U.S. model, and most omit the model number so you can't tell what you're buying - U.S. model or not. This is a continuing problem with Amazon's sellers of Fujitsu scanners. One would think by now that Amazon would have solved this problem, but merchants still seem to play tricks on unsuspecting customers while Amazon slumbers nearby. Unless things improve, my advice is to carefully check out your purchase. If the seller is being evasive about their listing details, take that uncertainty into consideration in your purchase decision.

Ich nutze Windows 10. Die Einrichtung des Scanners war unproblematisch und der funktioniert prima.Installations CD installieren -> Scanner anschießen -> läuft

Ich habe lange an einem Dokumentenscanner gesucht und die Wahl fiel nun auf diesen. Hätte zwar lieber den Netzwerkscanner gehabt, aber der Preis...Grundsätzlich wie immer Bestellung, Lieferung, etc. alles ohne Beanstandung.Aber dann kam die Odysee... Scanner installieren...Ich habe schon unzählige Stunden mit allen Möglichkeiten zugebracht das Sch...ding zum Laufen zu bekommen. Und zwar unter Win7: Scanner wird erkannt von Win7 und wird als betriebsbereit gemeldet. Aber die Software behauptet der Scanner sei nicht installiert oder wird von einer anderen Anwendung genutzt. Dann kommt immer wieder "Blue-Screen" und aus ist der Spaß.Was auch interessant ist, daß zudem der Rechner für die NAS nun noch einen Treiber installieren will, den der nicht gefunden wird und ich auch nicht im Internet bisher gefunden habe.Den Scanner habe ich auf zwei unterschiedlichen Win7 -Rechnern versucht zu installieren und immer wieder das gleiche Schicksal mit dem Unterschied, daß der zweite Rechner eine andere NAS mit neuen Treibern versehen will.Alles in allem sehr unbefriedigend. Und ja, ich habe die Software auf CD-ROM (ist im Lieferumfang) verwendet und auch die Sachen vom Support der Homepage - alles nur frustran...Warum zwei Punkte?Mit einem Rechner mit Win10 hatte ich es doch tatsächlich geschafft, das Wunderwerk der Technik zum Laufen zu bringen. Vor einem Update habe ich aber angst, es könnte nicht mehr laufen. Schön, daß es funktioniert, aber der Scanner sollte mit dem Desktop und nicht nur mit dem Notebook laufen. Es ist halt kein Netzwerkdrucker!Vielleicht hat einer eine Idee wie das Teil auch unter Windows 7 zum Laufen bekomme, dann könnte man die Sterne erhöhen. Aber so? Sorry, no way!Im Internet bin ich bisher nicht wirklich fündig geworden.

J'ai pas mal de documents à scanner pour le travail et j'ai eu plusieurs scanner (Canon...) qui étaient franchement pas fiables avec bourrages et autres problèmes.Ce scanner fujitsu est exeptionnel, je dépose une pile de documents avec les feuilles adaptées pour séparer chaque courrier, il me scanne tout d'affilée sans bourrage et rapidement, le logiciel me transforme en PDF chaque courrier et je n'ai plus qu'à classer tout ça. Un gain de temps incroyable au quotidien.C'est peut être cher, d'ou mon hésitation initiale à y mettre ce prix mais ça vaut le coup !

This is the fourth desktop Fujitsu scanner we've bought for the office, and it is certainly the fastest by a wide margin.That's my first point of emphasis: speed. This is a very fast scanner. It also feels solid and well-made.Unfortunately, it has been a nightmare to set up and get working. At one point, I was ready to box it up and send it back. Unlike the other three Fujitsu scanners, this one simply would not work with any of our existing software. For example, we have standardised our systems around a very robust and efficient software platform called VueScan - all of the other scanners, purchased at intervals over a period of ten years, have absolutely no problem with it. Setup was a doddle, and we get no glitches.Not so, the Fi-7140. Oh no. Indeed, nothing that we already had would work with it - I suspect because the data throughput is so rapid. Thus, perversely, we found ourselves resorting to the scanner software supplied with the machine (usually, on Fujitsu scanners, we have discovered that the supplied software is the real problem). Even this option was not straightforward - we had to spend hours on the phone to Fujitsu technical support trying to configure a brand-new Windows 7 PC, before we finally got it to work.Now it is working, it's brilliant (although I am not looking forward to any later upgrading of PCs!) - but the setup of new devices really shouldn't be this troublesome and time-consuming. I do not think it unreasonable to expect a new product to work, pretty much, out of the box, without all this effort.Still, it's a good scanner, and (now) operating reliably.And, did I say that it's quick?
