Sound quality is horrible compared to the others I’ve purchased. We can barely hear them. I purchased a starter set around Christmas that were wonderful. These are not.

These buttons have inferior sound to use as an add on to the starter set which is twice as loud. You can't understand it well, the speaker is on the bottom, buried in the hex foam. You have to be at or near the board to hear this weaker version of a button. I'm returning them. The loud/soft word mix is also annoying if you consider "mixing" buttons.

My dog loves his fluent pet buttons. He's up to 19 words now (!!!) and quite chatty. I even know what kind of music he likes, thanks to these buttons. (He likes Queen, Billy Joel and Joni Mitchell, does not like Nine Inch Nails.)If you're wondering what your dog thinks, getting started with these will help - do get yourself the foam boards for these to pop into.It's been a fun journey teaching my little guy to talk, and I highly recommend these. They would get 5 stars, but for two small imperfections - it's a bit too easy for him to accidentally nudge the switch into "record" mode, and they go through batteries faster than I'd like.

Good and easy to use, but one of the buttons came already not working which was disapointing It is loud enough to hear in my one bedroom apartment.

We thought these would be a great idea, based on a friend that has "buttons" for his dog. Our experience started out very good until after less than ONE MONTH of regular daily use our first TWO buttons went dead. Had I known before my husband purchased these I would've opted to find dog "buttons" from another manufacturer.The batteries are NOT replaceable. This is more plastic in the waste stream. For that reason alone I would not have purchased this particular brand. Given that the manufacturer states 1-3 years before they end up needing to be thrown in the trash, that seems like an awful stretch considering two of ours lasted for less than one month. Sadly I made the mistake of purchasing a box of 16 buttons when I thought this was going to be a good thing... and did not realize they were JUNK before the return window closed.

These are fantastic! They record really clear. The volume is loud enough to be heard. They fit snuggly in the hex titles. My dogs immediately knew how to press them and make them work…they’re definitely enjoying learning! Will be getting more as our vocabulary expands!

Several of the buttons arrived broken but Giving 3 stars for the really cute design, they actually look cute in my house unlike the other brands that have bright crayons colors like red green and blue - which wouldn’t integrate nicely with any modern decor. Really a very cool concept. My doggies are learning to use their words with the buttons that are working :) I used removable adhesive stickers to put them on my wall, I also wish they came with a way to mount them. I tried on the ground but my dogs immediately thing what’s on the ground is theirs, and I caught them chewing a button and trying to run away with it. Cute and funny, but not helpful for training. Mounting to the wall solved this for me.

We have a puppy who was just 4 months old when we started him with the buttons. Initially 1 to get his food, then we added a button for going for a walk and then to go outside to the garden. He gets them spot on. Knows exactly what he gets when he presses on them. Brilliant kit. I wish the tiles would be a little cheaper but the button pack is really worth the price.
