I had high hopes for this to work with my dogs but after months of trying neither dog has shown enough interest in these. I guess it takes a smarter dog than either of mine. A couple of the things that I tried was to use one for requesting to be fed and another when they wanted to go outside. Neither has been used often for their purpose. I can't fault the product. They work well and are easy to record on. Maybe my dogs are just too old and set in their ways but they're both only 4 years old. So I guess the blame falls on me being a poor trainer. I had previously tried something similar that I also could never get them to use. It was a button that activated a device that made a doorbell sound to be used for letting me know they wanted to go outside or back inside. It came with two buttons to be used - one in and one out - right next to the door. Again I had no luck with that either. I think with the right dogs and maybe starting the training earlier will actually work for others.

Our girl figured it out pretty quick. I mostly wanted to teach her to tell me when she was out of water in case we had not noticed. Before, she would come and tell me without the buttons, but these are making it a bit more clear. I wish the paw buttons were colors, not the bases, and that one wasn't red, as dogs really only see blues and greens. They are easy to use, and well designed. They are holding up fine now, though if we get the big dog to use them I'm not sure if that will continue. These are a great buy if you just want to try it out.

If you're like me, looking for a GREAT, SIMPLE WAY to scare terrible roommates out of your ex-fiance's home, honestly believe your animal companion has loads more of amazing thoughts and ideas, pre-recorded into audio that plays out loud when any of those five little buttons are triggered, or have found yourself DREADFULLY confused and stuck between PET STUFF and KID TOY shopping, ending up here, looking at this FINE PRODUCT designed for pets, extrapolated to parents with verbally delayed children, and used for OTHER prospects like terrifying drug addicts out of homes (I pre-recorded a cop siren screaming on one of those little, plastic paw buttons you can stick discretely anywhere and left it by the door the roommates use to go outside to smoke. Within two weeks, my home was back to being a home and not a trap house!) Aside from being a strange, interesting and ultimately, USEFUL tool for pets and humans alike, it comes with a FIVE port USB charger! Charge FIVE USB devices SIMULTANEOUSLY! Awesome!
