I really like this helmet. As a passionate cyclist commuting in a big city can be stressful and dangerous. This is the first helmet that makes me feel well protected. I love the fact that we can make it smaller. It fits in my bag well and I don't have to carry around a bulky helmet anymore. Great product. Can definitely recommend for others who are looking for a helmet that is safe, comfortable and easy to fold.

Love this helmet. I use a bike share service in the city I live in and was stupidly riding all over town with no helmet because of how annoying it is to carry around. this one fits easily in the bottom of my bag and my girlfriend is so much happier knowing my head is protected :) I had an issue with one of the built in lights but the customer service from fend was incredible and got a replacement within days. The customer service alone was so refreshing because nowadays it seems like you just talk to an AI until you’re frustrated enough that you give up. Fend sent me a handwritten note apologizing for the defect!

I have to be honest the materials are not giving durability. After opening and closing this a few times in starts to wear on the product. No one wants to be gentle with their helmet. The plastic pieces with wrong tug could snap. The glue in some area was already coming undone. Yes the item is functional but you can tell it will not hold up over time. It’s great concept but the execution could be better. It’s is a little heavy on the head. I got a large. The price is not reflected in the quality. It does fit nicely in my large messenger bag from Brompton.

I feel safe using the this helmet, the lights give good visibility to other riders and drivers at night. It folds to have the size and stores conveniently in a tote or bag. would definitely recommend.

I previously had a Plixi helmet for travel that is round in shape - so never really fit and it doesn't have a rear tightening knob. This one fits much better, but as the other reviewers say, order one size up. I tried a medium and it was too tight across the front of my head.Compared with the Plixi, this one creates a longer skinnier package when folded, but it's still going to fit in my carry on fine. The lights are a welcome extra but they feel loose in their mounts and are very hard to turn on - mostly because you are pressing a button at the back of the light against the helmet, but you feel like you should be pushing a button on the front of the light. On the Plixi, I had to order a glue on holder to hold a rear light, but not a front one.The Plixi has been around for a while, so there are more accessories. But their inner sweat pads are not as robust as the Fend'sI ordered the bright yellow and it's a good color.

The product works well, but it would be even better if the price were reduced a bit.

Protip: Order one size up as the sides of these seem to run narrow, as they're optimized for portability. The company has a helmet guarantee and was happy to exchange the helmets for me w/ comped shipping fees. Amazon doesn't have a category to return or exchange for fitment issues, but you can contact the vendor directly and avoid tarnishing their return metrics, ha.The product and company seems to be new, as most if not all of the current reviews have a Vine attribution. I pulled the trigger despite it being an expensive $130 helmet, and have no regrets. This helmet looks, feels, and even sounds great! It has a nice snap+click feel and sound when expanding so you know it's tightly locked when expanded. Definitely a crowd pleaser! Exterior of helmet is hard plastic with two inserts for lights, inside has typical styrofoam protection. The light attachment (front and rear) operation are simple to use, and easy to detach. You can hold it down for 1+ seconds to turn it on. Once on you can single tap the light to switch flash modes, such as: constant, strobe, fade. Must take helmet off in order to see that mode it's on, but I'm confident to just hold the button while riding to know that it's on when going through dark tunnels with cars. It also fades in and out to when plugged in, to indicate it is charging, which is nice. Note that you must use a 5v type-c or the supplied type-a to type-c connector to charge the lights. They're secure and snug, and detachable by wiggling and pulling, or pushing outwards from the inside of the helmet. My only two nits with this helmet is the initial issue with size, if you have a wide head, I'm worried large may not be big enough. The other nit is that it utilizes a "dumb" type-c port, meaning that you must use the supplied USB type-a to type-c conversion cable, as it does not support PD over USB-C, but only 5v. It would not work with any usb-c PD charger (e.g. a macbook or samsung).Overall, a great bang for the buck, you can see and feel the looks and quality of a premium $130 helmet from this product. The company has good customer service if you have issues with the helmet and include a helmet guarantee where if you crash with one, you can exchange it for a new replacement, because they claim to prioritize your safety.I hope the American company is or becomes profitable and thrive. I'd like to see future premium additions such as "PD charging support", chime or BT/app indicator of activated light", camera attachment, modular peripheral support, etc. Wish I got in on the kickstarter but glad I pulled the trigger.Am now a fan of this product and curious to if others run into similar issues with sizing.
