I have another Giro helmet that I wear in summer months. More vent holes and no face guard. This helmet is really nice in cooler/cold weather. I put anti fog on the inside of the visor so it works perfectly to keep the cold air off my upper face when I pull up my neck gator to cover my mouth and nose.

3 stars only because now realize no other shield options are available-shame would be great to have yellow,polarized,smoked etc. or even make a replacement clear shield easy to purchase

First use on a 20 mile ride in a partly-sunny 95* & humid Florida summer weather. For someone who sweats easily, this helmet provided very good ventilation. The movable visor does help with wind and bugs as opposed to what others are saying. No visual issues for me even while looking down. The thing is if I stare down with my eyes without moving my head then yes, the contour of the visor will distort the vision. But, you got to move your head around to keep getting clear vision. The size is true. I have a 57” head radius that results to a size M. Grey color is nice and straps are unobtrusive. MIPS padding is comfortable and adjustable. I only wish that Giro provided tinted visor replacements. I’m satisfied and good with this purchase.

In the mornings I ride "down by the river" and there are frequently clouds of bugs. Mostly small, like gnats. This helmet with the visor saves me from bugs in my eyes. I was wearing sunglasses before, but they still got around them. Helmet is comfortable and I like that the visor is clear. I can use sunglasses, or not if I am riding after dark.

The Giro Evoke MIPS helmet is comfortable. The windscreen could be improved. I would like a sun visor added to the top. Another improvement for me would be less plastic framing the nose-opening area. The varying thickness here produces a distorted image when looking down, for example. If the clarity of the peripheral vision could be enhanced, that would be helpful for me.

Nice comfy fit. Visor is a game changer for me as it does a very good job of keeping the wind out of the eyeballs. Would I purchase again…you bet. Price and fit are hard to beat.
