Unit seemed to work fine for 10 minutes. Then it glitched. Just read 0.00 and was stuck in fathoms, not feet. Then out of nowhere it read feet, but just said zero.

Nice little depth sounder, fits right in with existing Faria gauges, although had to mount under console with a gauge bracket since didn't want to drill any new holes in my fiberglass nor had room for an additional gauge. Had to order a correct size gauge bracket then paint it the correct color to match my dash, figure out a mounting method, cut a piece of 2x4 painted it grey, then liquid nailed it to the underside of my dash so the gauge bracket had a place to mount to. Hangs down to the right so it wouldn't be knocked or kicked. The beeping warning sound once set to a min depth is annoying but serve a good purpose. Pretty simple to operate with decent instructions, minimal functions which is nice. Installing the other part, the Transducer is another situation. A bit complicated and time consuming but take it slow, follow directions and do it right and it works just fine. Gauge is a bit funky at times and has an occasional false reading I assume since it displayed minimal feet deep in the middle of a Lake and set off the alarm but immediately recalibrated and re established the correct depth. Worth the time and money if you don't want a complicated fish finder.

Purchased in July 2019, and worked fine for the remainder of the season, about 10 hours. Just took the boat out for its first trip of the 2020 season, and the gauge blinks all the time usually reading 0.0 and alarm on, and then sometimes erratic readings. Double checked that the in hull sensor is submerged in glycol, and the transducer is sending signal as verified through an AM tapping signal, but the gauge still reads junk. Worked great last year, worthless this year. Would expect more for the money.

Talk about easy to install!!This depth sounder works great. It is a perfect replacement for my Sea Ray depth sounder that failed.I wish the wire, from the transducer to the indicator, was a little longer. That is not a criticism, of the product. Thankfully, the wire was just long enough for my boat.It looks great on my console.

Faria gauges are top quality. My boat had all the necessary gauges but was lacking a depth sounder. I really wanted the water/air temp gauge but it is only available with the transom mount transducer. This in hull transducer was simple to install. The instructions were sufficient; however, I still browsed YouTube as I like to watch a how to video to make sure I don't make any mistakes. The white face gauge looks great as well as the chrome trim. I especially like the low depth alarm. I made sure to set it so I won't damage any more props. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great quality depth sounder for their boat.

Great unit, had it installed with the in hull transducer. the Faria unit replaced a Lowrance unit which did not work well. Also this unit matches all the other gauges on our boat. great company with outstanding customer support.
