The unconventional design of a cube anchor shines where conventional-style anchors falter. No longer will you have to drag your anchor until you feel it hold or question whether or not it set, the cube anchor sets almost immediately upon impact and adjusts its hold and positioning in changing winds and currents without having to be manually maneuvered from the boat. When the parking is finished, the cube anchor quickly releases from the bottom and collapses flat to save space on your boat.

I like the idea of it. But from what I can see from other reviews this could use a much longer tip rod where it inserts to the hole in picture one as it seems like it will disengage and probably collapse on itself. But will give it a try this weekend and see. If I keep it I'll probably redo that rod and make it longer or drill a hole thru it and put a pin so I'll feel safer. If it works I'll change my ratingI moved my rating from 3 to 4 as this weekend I definitely gave it a try. At first it did not grab I kept drifting then dead at night I used with my digger anchor and they both kept me in place. Then I used the box on its own and I enjoyed how it kept me in place in its own. Just release it and when it hits bottom just feed another 30 to 40 feet more of rope and let the boat just drift. That's what worked for me and it held pretty good did not move even when other boats came by. Just wanted a little bit more review. This does a decent job I've been using it on my pontoon boat and it's held up so far kept it in place so I'm happy and I'll keep it and I still have my Digger anchor just in case but so far so good with this one

I tried 3 different types of anchors in my area (firm mud bottom) but the boat kept drifting quite a ways before the anchors set if they did set at all. I like this box anchor. It catches as soon as it hits the bottom! The anchor folds up nicely with the pull of the pin for storge, and the 13 lbs weight seems perfect for my 17' boat.

Was tired of the other anchors. They did not hold, or were difficult to get set. This anchor set first try. Boat was in the water for four days. The anchor never moved, I finally did not stress over anchor holding. Most lakes we visit have all the different bottom surfaces. It held so well, I had to dive in and yank it backwards to retrieve. Left it in the water after loading boat. It proved it will hold in rough water also. Note to self: pull anchor back while boat is still in water. I highly recommend this style anchor. I would purchase again and again. This is now my go to anchor. The box assembly makes it awkward to store and setup. No matter, this style anchor is a Beast.

I’m a Lake boater and sometimes I want to drift away and take a nap. This anchor gives me that peace of mind to be able to relax fully.

I’ve bought 3 box anchors over the years, and they are the definitely the best for the lake that I use. This anchor, like my others, lasts & performs great. The only thing I’d recommend is adding some marine grease to the holes where the pin slides in, which will make it so much easier & faster to open/close.

This is the best anchor. Drop it in the water let it set and forget. Perfect for clay and sandy bottom on my lake. No chain needed.
