Used once and the rubberized handle on the slide hammer broke off...it did hold well in the sand on my 19' scarab.

I got this to use with a large SUP paddleboard andd it defnitiely does the job. Thankfully it's self-hammering and keeps the board completely secured. That being said, pulling it up is another deal for me. I don't have alot of strength so it's a bit of a struggle. I did not expect it to be this large, and carrying it on the board is something I did not anticipate.OVERALL - But for a small sailboat or skiff this would do the job without taking u alot of deck space.

This sand spike has been a solid addition to our beach gear. We mainly use it to anchor our 17' Hobie Catamaran, and it holds up well. The anchor feels really durable, with enough weight to make driving it into the sand easy and secure. It stays put, even when the wind picks up.What’s really handy is how we use it at night, too. We attach a fluorescent rope to the spike to mark the edge of our campsite. Since the beaches on Padre Island National Seashore double as public roadways, this setup helps keep motorists away from our camp. The construction is impressive—after about 30 days of use in salty, humid conditions, it’s not showing any signs of corrosion. It’s a sturdy and versatile tool that’s earned its spot in our gear.

This is a great sand spike for securing my boat when out on the canoe. It would work in any situation where you want to step ashore to camp or take a break. I have used it to paddle my kids to the playground on the other side of the bay. It worked out great. The kids were able to run off and play and my boat was secure. It would also be great for canoe camping. It would give a little more piece of mind that your boat will still be where you left it when you wake up. I am really happy with it.

I have been coveting a sand spike anchor for awhile, and it was worth the wait!No longer am I lugging a hammer around to anchor in a traditional anchor to the beach, as this spike is easily secured by hand. This works great for my mid sized fishing boat, but I wouldn't trust it for anything larger.Overall the quality is good, and the execution is awesome. Recommended.

I have a 25ft proline deep V cuddy cabin and this holds on the Sand bar in our local bay. Incoming or out going tide does not matter it holds.

If you own a boat on a lake and frequent beaches or islands I highly recommend this product. It’s made completely of metal which gives it some weight to pound into the sand and hold your boat in place. Obviously that means it’s heavier but that’s really what you want. It hammers in the sand or dirt very easy and is incredibly functional for what you need. Not a bad price and well built you really can’t beat it.
