I've tried so many different methods to train my dogs over the last couple decade. Then I learned of an electronic toy that emits a high-frequency tone when the button is pressed. This thing is big and bulky and not convenient to keep on your person, and I remembered the old dog whistle.There are many tutorials to learn how to use a whistle effectively, but the short and simple summary is to be very consistent with your chirps.Within just a couple hours, I was able to get my old rescue to come to me IMMEDIATELY with a short toot, no matter where she was or what she was doing. I haven't yet played with more complex commands such as sit or anything, as this was all I really needed at this point.This whistle is built well, tucks under my shirt without being intrusive, and gives a little quiet audible feedback also so the trainer can know that it is working. Very happy with this purchase!

Not nearly loud enough. My Doberman didn't even flinch. Couldn't give 2.5 stars so gave them a 3, for the value. It's a great deal if your dog responds to them.

We tried to use these to alert my neighbors dogs who are about 30 feet away. It was ineffective and didn’t stop the barking. We need to try something else. It made a noticeable sound.
