Better for people than dogs. To use this the descaler safely, the mouth you are using this on has stay perfectly still. My doggo is a chill guy. He puts up with a lot when my nieces are over and let's them do whatever they want to him. He does not complain. He is not hyper. He does not get easily agitated. When I let him sniff this tool he seemed fine. He let me open his mouth and was calm. The minute I put the hook flat against his teeth he snapped down almost biting my fingers off, and the hook slipped and made him bleed. He ran and will not come out.It came with extra hooks, so sanitized the body of the electric pick and used it on myself. Despite the jarring sensation, I forced myself to keep my head still. It took off all of the plague and made my teeth whiter. I even poked at a few teeth to make sure they were still remineralized despite the stains. The found the mirror could see my teeth better.If I was rating this based on the fact the dental pick was made for dogs, I would rate it 0 stars. Get your pet's teeth cleaned by a professional at the vets. If I were to rate it for use for humans, it would get 5 stars.
