Really disappointed in this tool. Advertised as “fast-grit” but not even as effective as plain old Dremel sanding head. Already tossed the plastic case, so I guess I’m out $25……bummer.

This bit has got a very good shape for large dog claws, it grinds the claws very good. The screwing shaft ensures that no hair is trapped. The quality seems to be very good. I am very satisfied and recommend it unreservedly with a Dremel.

I have two Rat Terriers and an English Bulldog. The terriers have transparent nails and the bulldog has black nails. These Diamond Grinder Bits are excellent for my dogs manicure. I use the course sanding bit for grinding to length. Then I use the fine sanding bit to take care of burrs and shaping. The Bits are perfect size . Big enough to get the job done, yet small enough to work the nail. Once I’m done sanding the nails. I have a toothbrush sized brass brush that I use to clean the bits. I could not be happier with these bits. I do a better job with these bits than the Veterinarian Assistant using her nail cutters. Plus I save $75.00 a month and no worries about injuries to my dogs. If I hear my dog or dogs tap dancing across the floor, it’s time to grind. I set my Cordless Dremal on a two or three. My terriers will hold they’re paws up to get a manicure. My bulldog is still a puppy and has yet to learn his manners .

I am simply amazed at how well this actually works. I have been doing my dogs nails at home for years and I'm not sure why I never found this. I was using a Dremel sanding wheel that got the job done, but would get hot and vibrate occasionally. This attachment made nail day a BREEZE, it works so fast and smooth. It made rounding their nails super easy.

For many years, when shortening my dog's claws I've used the normal mini-grinding wheels supplied with most rotary tools such as Dremel. Those a fine, with one big caveat: heat. They tend to cause a lot of friction heat, which typically ends up in the claw. So it's very important to constantly check for this to avoid making your dog uncomfortable, or worse, hurting him or her.I was interested to try this diamond/metal one out, as I thought it might absorb more heat harmlessly, without passing it on to the claw. And it's true - that's exactly what it does. I used it in my normal way; pausing frequently and pressing my fingertip on the end of the claw to sense any heat. With this one, there was none. At all. It's quite a substantial little thing so I imagine it would take a fair bit of energy to heat it up enough to feel it. So that's the big takeaway! Much better for your dog. BTW; I believe you can get fine and coarse versions of this wheel. This is the fine one.The design of the wheel is pretty cool too; it has curved surfaces including the end dimple, making it easier to shape the claw tip. And another cool thing is that it is threaded to attach directly to a Dremel (or any similarly-sized tools) without having to find mini-chuck jaws of the right size. Just unscrew the chuck off the Dremel completely, and screw this on. I thought I'd like this thing - which is why I ordered it on Amazon Vine - and I'm happy to say there's no going back to the old-style mini-grinding wheel. This is much, much better.

With any grinder there’s going to be noise and vibration which my Boston terrier despises. It’s quick and effective when we can actually get the dog to sit still.

I bought this to replace the "Big Name Brand" diamond nail grinder bit. I have been very happy with the grit and the speed with which I can trim my 4 dogs nails. It works well and gets the job done very quickly.

I have several dog nail grinding tools but this one is my favorite. It fits on my dremel and stays tight. The design (?) made grinding my German shepherds black nails easy. I have used it on two German shepherds many times and have not seen any signs of wear on this tool so far. It did not get hot.
