My son got this to use at the beach. It worked the first day then stopped. We replaced the battery thinking he left it on by mistake but no luck. We removed the battery cap and realized that the cap wasn’t tight enough. We fixed it by placing a small wedge between the batter and the cap and it works for now.

We suspected that our dog swallowed my wife's gold earring. Rather than spend the next week saving, sorting and examining her poop to prove this hypothesis I am eternally grateful to have found this device on Amazon. Our puppy tripped the metal detector and I was able to confirm the earring was inside of her. After each defecation, I would check if my dog tripped the metal detector again and when she didn't - low-and-behold, a wave of this metal detector let me quickly find it in her excrement! Thank you, manufacturers of this metal detector. You saved me wife's earring and my sanity.

This is a handy little device for help in finding lost items or just for the kids to have some fun while trying to find treasures buried on the land and in the water. Easy assembly and ready to go right after inserting the battery, which was included. The LED screen is easily read and gives you helpful information during your product use. Especially helpful is when it lets you know that the battery is running low. Saves frustration, especially when kids are using the device. We threw down some items to see how it works, both under water at a lake and on the ground. Of the 10 items thrown in the lake, the kids found 9 with little or no effort. The last one took some extra effort as large waves had come through and silt had covered the key. But, they were able to find it, buried under about 4" of the silt. The kids had a great time. The detector is light and easy to handle and manipulate for both the kids and adults. No hand/arm fatigue was noticed in over an hour of play. The adults are pleased with the detector as well, because if we happen to drop something in the lake, we are a little more hopeful about getting the item back. We now keep this in our boat bag for easy accessibility when needed. Both for the fun of exploring the water and land for treasures, as well as for rescuing lost items, this detector should come in very handy when we need it. We're glad that we have it!

This metal detector works really well to find metal items up close. It’s not for walking along and scanning, you need a different type for that. But this one helps once you’ve located the general area that something metal is hidden. Then you can use this right against the ground, or in water, or on a wall, and easily find hidden metal. If you lose something, this is great because you have the general idea where to search, and it will beep, or vibrate, or both. If you’re always dropping nails or screw or bits, this even comes with a belt loop to hang it off your belt for easy access. I was able to find a bit I lost in the chicken coop. It works really well, but you need to be aware of the limitations. It needs to be close to the item. But the accuracy is much better than the scan the ground type.

I don't have much experience with metal detecting but I know from watching "The Curse of Oak Island" that these little 'wand' detectors are a great supplement to the stand-up scanners since, once you get a positive signal while walking along with the coil type detector, it's nice having the little pinpoint detector to center in on the item as you dig. This detectors works really well and provides both auditory and tactile signals.

My husband lost his wedding ring in our very large garden, full of trees, leaves after the autumn storms. We were both disappointed so I went and had a look on amazon to see if I could find something that would help to find his treasured wedding band. It only took 15 minutes at most, and as he approached the door at the back of the house, he had such a large smile on his face. I looked and couldn't believe my eyes. He had found it using the small Dewinner Metal Detector. I am over the moon and so is he. Ken is 77 yrs old, so you can imagine how he had felt. Over the years I have lost several pairs of gold earrings, my wish is that I had bought it sooner. In truth I can't recommend this piece of kit enough. Even if you do not need one now, it is always good to have handy, just in case. Amazon are selling it at an unbelievable reasonable price. Commendable.
