I charged the unit overnight using the supplied USB cable and I couldn't ever get it to turn on. The reason why I didn't order a replacement is if this unit is that bad already, the next one won't be much better.

Update, Aug 4, 2024: Everything has been okay-ish since last update. The unit still has issues hooking up to the phone to transfer; I have to turn BT off and back on, sometimes multiple times, before it syncs. However, I've not had issues with the sensors cutting out since. I'll go ahead and give it a star back for three stars; I still don't recommend this computer, but it's better than the Chinese company computers that I've seen.Update, July 17, 2024:I added a HRM to this Bryton Rider 15 Neo, and the speed from my Garmin sensor kept going blank. I restarted the computer and re-paired the sensors, and I *think* it's fixed. If not, it's junk and I'll get a Garmin. It's lost a couple stars from for having issues handling two sensors at once.___The only thing I don't like is that it sometimes has issues pairing with the phone app. It's irritating. Otherwise, this is a nice entry-level computer that does what I need it to do. If it weren't for the pairing issue, it would receive five stars without question.

This is the second Bryton computer I purchased, the first was a Bryton 10 for my wife from a local store two years ago, she was more interested in the distance traveled and elevation climbed. This unit has worked flawlessly. This new unit, the Bryton 15 neo, I bought for my daughter, an improvement on the Bryton 10, bigger numbers and more information on the screen and faster. This unit connects to GPS quicker then the previous version and my Garmin Edge 530 is not much quicker (this is on my bike - I have it for trail forks). After a ride with my daughter the data it provided was very close to my Garmin, variances are from me riding around trees and off the path vs staying on the path.Trying to compare elevations will never match, my Garmin never gets the elevation right from the start of the ride to finish when returning to the start point, but the two units were very close. The unit was easy to set up via the Bryton app and connected to her phone very quickly and I must say much easier and quicker then setting up and connecting my Garmin Edge 530 to my phone for the first time (my daughter and I have the same phone). The computer is simple, displays less information then mine but far better then non gps units at the same price. I set it up for 5 screens and it is easy to switch screens. The auto pause feature is nice as my daughter does not want to fiddle with it during a ride. The Bryton app provides nearly the same information as the Connect app, the only difference is my computer will transfer the ride data once its near enough to my phone where as the Bryton will need the user to open the Bryton app and press the sync button. This unit will not display calories without the heart monitor, make sense as it wouldn't be accurate without it. The Bryton 10 did display calories but stated that it did not calculate with the heart rate monitor, where as the Bryton 15 Neo does not state this.Saving the ride is a bit different then the Garmin, rather then say "Save ?" it shows a stop icon with a question mark, only confusing to users of different GPS cycling computers, the device gives you two options when to press the stop button "Rec ?" which means to continue recording your ride or when you press the page button the stop icon is displayed for ending and saving your ride. Since this is my daughters first computer its not an issue and feels simple. The battery states 16 hours but like my wife's Bryton 10 it out performs my Garmin 530 which claims to have better battery life.As for mountain biking in heavily treed mountainous areas I will be purchasing a speed sensor for it, like I did for my Garmin. Mountain biking in a forest on the side of a mountain will reduce or cut connection to satellites and this is the same for Cities with tall buildings that block satellite signals, the farther north you are the lower the satellites are. My cars built-in Garmin GPS gets squirrely when in the down town section of our city.I must say, I though I was impressed with the Bryton 10, but the Bryton 15 Neo has impressed me even more. For a fraction of the price of a Garmin Edge 130 Plus, you get a lot. You get get speed, distance, temperature, bearing, elevation, time traveled, time of the trip, Time and with the sensors you add cadence, speed in areas with blocked satellite signals, heart rate and calories burnt. It does not provide bread crumb return navigation, the climb pro feature (a feature I do rarely use, I just don't want to know if I have only climber 10%), a power meter (more for street bikes) and the mountain bike dynamics ( how much time did I spend in the air). If you are after these features spend much more money....As mentioned previously, this is an impressive product for the price and simple to operate. It's very, very close to the accuracy of my Garmin, differences coming from the auto pause feature and the wear on my tires (as mentioned previously I have a speed sensor on my bike so tire wear and tire type will effect distance and speed slightly). For some one wanting simplicity, speed, distance, odometer, climb elevation, slope, max speed, avg speed, max elevation, current elevation, bearing and temperature data this device will give you this with out additional sensors at the cost of a quality non GPS bike computer and far cheaper then Garmin. And once you sync'd your ride it will provide a map of you ride via the Bryton app.I do recommend a speed sensor for mountain biking, I needed one for my Garmin 530 and assume the same for the Bryton.

It works well--battery lasts all day, tracking works without crashing, syncs quickly to phone (Google Pixel 3) and auto-uploads rides to Strava.I'm very happy with this for the price. I didn't want to buy an expensive GPS head unit that shows maps and directions. This unit is a tracker only, but that's fine for me. It takes the strain of activity tracking off my phone so I have a full battery if I ever need to look up directions on my phone, and it's nice to have live readouts you can look at right on your handlebars.I have found the elevation gain readout is especially nice to have on really long climbs. It's nice to know for pacing exactly where you are along the climb without having to pull out a phone to check, and it's just motivating to watch the vertical feet tick away in front of you as you pedal.

Great little gps computer for my nine year old aspiring cyclist. The unit works as expected and is easy enough to use. The bryton app works great and bryton support has be awesome. My son had a small crash which damaged the back mount which bryton replaced under a crash replacement. Made me pickup the bryton 750 for my ride. Great company would definitely purchase again as needed.

This computer is perfect for me. I was looking for something inexpensive but also measured cadence. There were some challenges figuring out how to use it initially but it’s pretty intuitive. I added the cadence sensor which is simple and seems to be very accurate. I wasn’t planning on it but I have also ordered the heart rate monitor as I am now interested in how that works. The speed is determined by GPS, so it is not as immediate as most other units but a speed sensor can be added. Speed is not my concern as I am old and slow, so this is a great computer for me.

This product fit my needs well. My main needs were a computer that would provide speed, cadence and heart rate all on a single screen. This added an additional benefit of eliminating the speed sensor using GPS for speed that meets my needs fine. You can add a speed sensor if you want, but I think that it’s not needed and most cyclists are concerned more about cadence over speed.I liked the price point of this unit and the quality is very nice. As far as sensor pairing it offers BLE also known as Smart Bluetooth. It does not support Ant+ Devices which is a major mistake on the part of the manufacturer since it limits some customers from purchasing this unit. However, I was pleased it worked with my both of my Polar Bluetooth Smart Cadence and Heart sensors. It does not as far as I know have any ability to monitor a power meter so if you really need that you’ll need to consider a more expensive unit. Also, it does not have any type of map navigation so if you want that I would suggest looking at other options as well. There were some nice surprises such as the switchable backlight, and it lets you know when you get a call. Other features, include an altimeter to provide elevation information. What I didn’t like was the lack of thoughtfulness put into making the user guide. Instructions were brief and incomplete and there really is no excuse for this. Also configuring the settings and navigating the settings for sensors etc using the two button interface was both awkward and annoying. Why not just turn those configurations over to the Bryton phone app? The screen configurations are done using the phone app so why not put all the other settings on the phone app it would be so much easier configure using the phone app.A final note that this review is about the Bryton 15 Neo which is an improved model over the previous Bryton 15. The two main differences is the display no longer has the previous model yellow ring on the display and the most important is the two function buttons are mounted on the back side of the unit instead of the bottom underside. Looks like they figured their previous mistakes.Final thoughts are recommendations for the manufacturer to give the model a new name don’t call it Bryton 15 Neo. Call it perhaps Bryton 16. Keeping the 15 in the model name is confusing for both retailers and customers and is a strategy that lacked thoughtfulness and planning. Finally, I feel the company did a poor job of differentiating the differences between the Bryton 15 and Bryton 15 Neo on their website. This should be addressed immediately in my opinion. The unit itself is a nice product at a good price point. I think with a few design changes and some better marketing and communication on the companies website would increase its market share, and profibility in this competitive market.
