Shoukd read the comments first. Absolutely cannot register a finger print. Buying another and returning this one upon arrival from another brand.

I tried to program this to take my fingerprint over 20 times, maybe 30 and finally gave up. any finger will open it. I have to wait for the battery to die down then only use the combination so kids can't just unlock it by touching it.

Easy to set up. Fits in smaller places which is easier than having to find the “right” place for storage. Not too heavy, so simple for travel. Found set up easy.

My gut is telling me to return this safe but I know it can be useful even with its faults. Still it doesn't fit my current needs.I know this type of "safe" can easily be broken into. I don't blame the construction of this specific safe but the general design this type of safe. Still the construction of this safe is better than most of this type.Its small size makes it easily concealable in the house or car. It should fit in a large glove compartment but small ones, probably not.The fingerprint reader works well enough but I had trouble getting it add my wife's fingerprints. Gave up trying after seeing how annoyed she was getting. I got my fingerprints registered ok but not all the fingers I registered worked. Its possible I rushed it. The mechanical code works fine and its easy to set. The button that opens the safe absolutely feels like trash. Not solid at all and not confidence inspiring. Probably worth returning for the button alone.My Sig P365 XMacro is 1.4" at its widest spot (mag well). With the foam in, it feels tight to the point it seems like metal is bending to accommodate it. This is a compact gun and very thin compared to most other guns and its borderline usable. I'll have to find another option for gun storage.

Ive programed my fingerprints multiple times . Its a crapshoot as to how many times i have to scan before it opens. Not good for quick retreival in an urgent situation. Security cable can be easily ripped out.

Perfect for locking up one handgun and maybe an extra magazine.Opens with a mechanical lock code or with fingerprint.Included is a steel cable so you can lock the box to a "solid" item. Like in my case, lock it to the underside of the seat in my truck.With its small size and weight, it would also be perfect for (vehicle type) travel, as it will fit right into a bag. I'd advise against trying anything like this for moving a gun through air-travel.Also, perfect even as an in-home lockbox. Fits right in any drawer. Although personally I have a larger safe for home use.My carry-gun is usually on my hip, but there are a few places/areas where I cannot legally carry a gun, and have to remove it before walking in.With this box, rather that dumbly leaving the gun in a glove compartment, it can be locked up securely and invisibly under the seat, where there is less chance that anyone will see it or can access it. A must have in my opinion. Only slight negative is lack of spring loading on the lid. As in, after you unlock the latch, you have to press a button on the front, grab the top and bottom parts, and open the box. Only a slight negative, but it does put in an extra step if you have the gun locked up and suddenly need it.Highly Recommended.

Took a few tries but after speaking to their Customer service the biometric was setNOTE: I included my phone number in the manufacturer comments area and received a callback in under 5 minutesSize and shape are on the mark.The knowledge that my pistol is available only to me is comforting, even though my family is trained in gun safety.

This steel box is heavy but not too bulky to throw in a suitcase if you need to secure your valuables while traveling. It is simple to record your lock code and fingerprint for quick access. The USB-C charging port will allow you to use the same cable you use for phones, bluetooth speakers, tablets, and more so no lugging around extra cords or struggling to find the right type of cord in the stores. I set it up in minutes and feel that this keeps dishonest people as well as little curious ones out of things they do not need to touch. You could store a handgun or two, jewelry, medication, anything you wish to limit access to in your home or on the road. I do wish it had a handle because it is a bit bulky to pick up and move around but for the peace of mind knowing my valuables are safe, I can deal with that omission.
