I would definitely rate this on the upper tier of quality and construction, despite being slightly lighter than expected. The wood looks clean and install is pretty standard, being a bit taxing, but not awful. I do wish it had some center recess or beveling around the edges to help protect items from sliding off, but being so thick compensates in both function and aesthetics.

This is basically a floating shelf. It comes in multiple sizes. Ours is pretty large and we needed more support than what was included in the package. Especially if we plan to place things on itt without thought in years to come .

I have not installed this yet, so I cannot speak to the ease of installation. The quality of the mantle itself is nice, the wood looks good, so when I do get around to installing it I think it will look great. The installation directions are pretty straightforward and the hardware looks up to the task. Of course, I wish it was a solid chunk of wood instead of a box, but will get over that. Overall, pretty decent.

I have been wanting a mantle like this for our fireplace for so long! So I was definitely thrilled to get this one! Our living room is Farmhouse themed so this natural wood look fits in perfectly with all of the Accents in our home! I was completely blown away by how nice the quality of this is and how heavy duty it actually is. I was worried that it might be like a cheap wood but it is actually heavy duty and super nice! It was beyond easy for my husband to install as well! I love that this also comes with some wedge pieces that were pre-drilled and ready to help with installation of this. This is the perfect rustic mantle. The price is also amazing to me especially when you look at other similar mantles they are at least two times the price of this one! It anchored to the wall flawlessly as well! Very nice and roomy so you can put plenty of Decor on there as well! I really could not be happier with this and I'm completely obsessed! Definitely got to give this a 10/10

Intended to be used as a floating mantle, it won’t be. The wood is cracked, broken and warped. Despite repeated emails to merchant, I received no response to resolve the problems. Can’t send it back as it’s too big, bulky, and packaging is gone. Looked nice, but poorly constructed.

I needed a mantle above my fireplace for some time now and this was a perfect opportunity. This came in Via UPS and nicely packaged but I think they may have handled it a bit rough because there was slight damage to an edge. No problems there, it happens. It comes with some wedge pieces that are predrilled for convenience to hang up the mantle. The quality is good, not great. The wood is a little too "rustic" "distressed" for my liking. Almost like they didn't want to be bothered sanding it down. So I took it and sanded it down, re-stained it and it came out incredible. For the price, it's totally worth it.
