Precision CNC- machined metal filter cell with sand blasted black anodized finish, anti- reflection treatment, and laser engraving. Their anodized aluminum cells thread into the Alstar multiple filter wheels for convenient and most other manufacturer's, 2- inch eyepieces.
These 2" imaging filters let you create dazzling three-step RGB astrophotos- just like the expert. This set is best used in conjunction with a filter wheel, which allows you to easily change to a new filter after each set of exposures by simply rotating the filter wheel.

I purchased these filters for astrophotography, they are a very high quality lens set, and install easy on any 1.25 inch threaded eyepiece. They perform well, however they designed and engineered for a CCD camera so unless you're planning to use them as intended, these lenses are not for you. They are very bright and best suited for deep space, although there is a neutral density lens included in the set for moon viewing. For their intended purpose, they are a fair but not great value, similar lenses that function in the same way can be purchased for less. This notwithstanding, the frames are constructed from high quality aluminum and labels are clear. The product information doesn't mention if the lenses are optical glass, but for the price point they should be. The lenses are parfocal, which fits well if using a filter wheel, very little if any adjustments for focus are required while switching between lenses. Overall I give the lens set a 4 star rating as they could have a better price point and confirmation needs to be made for the lens material.
