I was really looking forward to receiving this Mantel. Upon opening the box I was less then impressed as it looks nothing like the pictures in the listing. What drew me to the Mantel was the wood grain look it has in the pictures. It seems as though Quality Control was out to lunch when this one came through them. The wood grain look is minimal to non existent at best in most places. The stain was not applied properly as there are really dark spots the very light spots. It wasn't applied evenly. I really don't like that it has the logo visible on the corner. I understand wanting to leave your logo but put it in a place where it isn't visible or at least show it on the pictures in the listing. If I would have know from the listing that the logo was right there I would have passed on this Mantle. I don't think this Mantle is worth the price $195.99 (at time of purchase). It Looks nothing like the Mantle pictured in the listing. This is Mantle has more of a black smooth finish which isn't what I was looking for.

They advertise they company right on the front of the mantle. It's like a car dealership sticker that you can't even remove. An aweful eyesore that will need to be fixed with care to not ruin the whole thing.It also arrived a bit damaged and needed painting.

Product appears okay. Level was missing. Instructions calls for pre drilled holes in top to anchor mantle top mounting. None found. Image should screws in bottom.

Firstly, it is surprisingly lightweight for its size (both a pro and con) and quality. It looks very nice and feels well built. Install is relatively straightforward, depending on your skill and mounting surface. All around I like it, but feel it could have utilized something to set it apart.
