It's an improvement over the UV-5R and some of the new features work really well. But spurious transmission would probably be a concern according to other reviews I have watched. I have not transmitted on it, except in low power really local stuff. Seems to work pretty good. Worth it for the money. Frequency tracking is really cool, it's spot on to find out Pl tone of a repeater or anything else.
