It does cinch shut and can be secured.Construction:The hardware on this case is all metal! No plastic bits to easily break. The case is covered in a sturdy nylon material that is both easy to clean and seems that it would be long lasting. Considering all the metal parts, and bells and whistles of this bag, it is relatively light for it's size, though not flimsy at all. This seems like it would last for years if taken care of properly. I can't tell if the zipper teeth are metal but they look like they are, and are of an elegant looking metallic gold color that matches the hardware on the bag and strap. The zipper handles are also metal. Thoughtfully added are easy to use nylon cord with plastic tab zipper pull strings, attached to the existing zipper tabs. A lot of thought went into planning and constructing this organizer. I feel it is very well constructed and sturdy.Uses:This case would be perfect for anyone that has to deal with papers and mobility. My thoughts for great uses would be for Realtors, Students, Notaries, Loan Officers, Lawyers, anyone dealing with legal matters such as going through a home sale, court cases, or a probate situation. Overall I am very happy with this product. Holds all of my work papers with room for more. My only complaint is the accordion folder part doesn't fold properly leaving it sticking out weirdly as pictured.

Despite being solidly in the digital world, many organizations still tend to pump out incredible quantities of paper and then give that paper to my wife. I got this in an attempt to be organized. I have a new house, new papers, new job, new everything. I am terrified i am going to mislay some important papers at some point. This will be my solution. It zips closed which is good for any loose papers, the dividers are amazing, and the d ring binder part is tough! It should hold lots of things no problem! I love how durable yet lightweight it is. For someone who has to travel with a lot of documents this is a wonderful solution.
