Fairly compact except you cannot store cord inside the unit. If you use the pot, it can take quite a long time to boil water or heat up foods with high liquid content ( e.g. soups) The pan heats well, but the ridges on the bottom of pan make it difficult to fry an egg. The pan does work well for other types of foods.

So i am huge ramen fan and I though this would be good to use. I am a truck driver and though this would be great on the truck. However even with the truck not moving the bowl and the pan do not rest well on the heating element. The pot and pan kept sliding off the hot plate and made a mess. I was excited to be able to make some spam and eggs in the pan but it took forever for one egg to cook. If you want water that takes forever to boil and it possible falling to the floor while cooking, then it would work. I ended up giving this away and I ordered a new hot pot that works.

Great for at-home hot pot, at your convenience! It is truly nonstick and holds well after several uses. It is easy to use, and just as easy to clean. I love the sleek design and brass colored accents.

I ordered this for my daughter who just moved into a very small studio apt with no in room kitchen. She loves it and says it works very well. She's able to make a meal for herself without leaving her room.

Got this for travel use. The cookware are compact, and easy to use. The size is small, so it only work for 1 person cooking. It Come with the non stick pan and a multi usage pot which is handy. I can make a meal with soup and veggies.

BLUF: Great concept and I would have loved it if the materials were better. Strong chemical smell made me nervous and doesn't come to a full boil. Bottom already changed colors after first use...sketchy.I ordered this to use at a hotel for a two week business trip that I went on. Like some reviews already mentioned and even in the little manual that it comes with, there is a strong chemical smell that gets released at first use. I emptied out the water after the first boil because that smell made me nervous. (It still does, but the hotel that I stayed at didn't have a stovetop, so I was desperate to use it at this point because I just can't eat out everyday at my age.) I then proceeded to use it to make soup. It does take a while for the water to boil and it doesn't ever come to a full boil. I washed it right after and noticed that the bottom of the pot was already stained/changed colors.I really like the concept and idea of a travel sized electric pot for the very reason I purchased it for, I just wished it was better executed and didn't have that chemical smell. With carcinogens, BPA, and other warnings out there, it really makes me skeptical to continue using it.
