These rods came in a strong plastic bag. They are attracted to a magnet only slightly, just typical for a 304 stainless steel. The diameter varies only by a few micrometers and stays below the nominal 2 mm. The surface finish is vary good.However the ends are not flat cut as in the description. They are sheared, creating a burr and deforming the end. To remove the deformation you need to cut a couple of millimeters from the end.
