Application
* First, take one of the nail caps out and try it on your dog's nails without the glue. It should fit like a sock.
* Trim the nails to the same length with that of the nail caps. If the nail cap is too large, you may trim the open end of the nail cap until it fits.
* Fill the nail cap with little adhesive. Never fill to too full to prevent overflow of the adhesive. Wait the adhesive is half-dried in the nail cap.
* Grasp claws of the dogs, slightly push aside the hair on the nails and expose all of them. Put the nail caps onto the claw and make sure they are completely wrapped. Wait until the adhesive is dry and continue with the next one.
* After all caps are applied, observe the dog for at least five minutes to make sure nail caps are secure. A good tip is to feed your dog his or her favorite food immediately after applying all nail caps.
* Some dogs will try to bite away the nail caps after they are initially put on. Once it happens, immediately cry it down until they are used to the caps. But please don't worry, it is quite normal. If it is necessary to replace with new nail caps, just take off the remaining nail cap materials and clean the nails. Nail caps should always be replaced after 8 weeks.

We chose medium for a 4 month old golden retriever and they fit like a charm. Use extra glue though.

We had tried another type of toe grip with very poor results. This product is so much better!Our boy is a 13 year old English Springer Spaniel who lives in a home with marble floors and lots of stairs. These toe grips have given him the grip that was lacking and the assistance to prevent any injuries.He has had his first set on for 2 months and has only had two that had fallen off.

I bought these for the little chihuahua I got because they seemed the perfect solution to keep her from ripping my skin off my arms, but the furst set I put on her caused a great deal of irritation and she ended up almost chewing the skin off her toes, so I removed them and never used them again.

I ordered these because my dog is starting to drag her feet causing them to wear down to the quicks and bleed. Overall the nail covers aren't bad but the glue is very unsafe for dogs. I also wish I could chose the colors.Cons:The glue heats up while drying and really irritated my dogs skin. I think it burnt her skin. I am going to try to find another type of glue to use.I ordered a large because my dog is 19lbs and they we way too long for her nails.Pros:The nail covers seem to be a good material and is easy to cut down to a smaller size. They seem to be comfortable for my dog to walk in.

I had gotten this product & thought it would be helpful for my dog. The soft claw caps are great. When I tried putting them on, my finger got some overflow from the glue & it burned. This is not the correct type of glue for animals, unless you want them to have skin burns if it gets on there.If you get these caps, make sure to also order some sort of cold-bonding glue that will not burn the skin.

We can't thank you enough. Our poor old guy (beagle) lost some function of his right rear leg and began dragging his nails when walking. We didn't realize how bad it was until there was blood everywhere! We were able to apply the nail caps and he never bled again! Not sure if he approved of the sparkly color, but it truly worked wonders for us!
